Also, the roads are wide enough that if you stop to unhook the Fit, others can maneuver around you.

However, when I go to the ReserveAmerica website, and do a search on Loop 103, it comes up with no matching sites. The loop is fully booked.

Given that I've got an Interstate with toad, I figured that Site 026, in Loop 101, is probably my best bet since it's a pull-through and I won't have to block traffic while unhitching my toad before occupying the site. It's also not far from Loop 103 (I think). Arriving the 7th, leaving the 13th.
Glad to hear you are planning to be there!

Canopener 2015 Map 103 Loop Draft

Attached is my first draft of a Canopener 2015 Map for the 103 Loop. I have incorporated the information on the RSVP page and what I could bring in from the Canopener 2015 thread. After trying to reconcile the information between the RSVP page and the thread I am asking that we stick with one version of the truth being the basis for the map. Going forward the source document for the Canopener 2015 maps will be the Canopener 2015 RSVP page. Please ensure your reservations are correct on the RSVP page and if you should cancel your reservation, or change your site, please reflect the change on the RSVP page. Going forward, if it isn't on the RSVP page, it won't be reflected on the maps.

Please review the draft map at the link below and let me know if there are changes needed.

This was more for my own curiosity than anything else. I was amazed at how fast the loop filled, so I am thinking it is mostly AS rather than those pesky snowbirds....

Thanks to Florida55 for getting the first map published, essentially 11 months in advance! He is working in front of the fireplace with snow up of to the fenders on Brutus (their truck) and tickling the Apple's mouse and keys. Looks like the electricity must still be on.

Nice work, Chuck. We're grinning from ear to ear looking at the movie and remembering. Looking forward to next year as we stare out at the 18" of snow surrounding the Cabin here in the Blue Ridge of Virginia.

Enjoy! Check out St Andrews Park while you are in the area. I have head great things. I was told a more camping feel, and less RV Resort.

Frank and Debbie:

So glad to see you will be attending.
You are going to love this part of the Gulf Coast if you have never visited.

You will find Canopener very laid back....lots of time to make new friends and visit.....not as structured as the "Aluma" events.

Topsail is a fantastic facility with a beautiful beach, excellent sites and great paved and non-paved trails for hiking/biking.

I see you already signed in on the RSVP page, thank you.
Holler if we can assist, we will be posting more information as we get closer to the event.

Tom (Tar Heel by birth and heart) and Robin

Silverflames: we have stayed at St Andrews and it is a very nice park indeed. Some sites are waterfront. Luckyducks lives very close to the park and could give you more information if you decide to give it a try.
