Smile Please register on RSVP page

Good morning, fellow Canopenians!
Your 2015 host here with a simple request.

If you plan to attend Canopener 2015 and have reserved a site, please take a moment and register on the RSVP page, including your site number. Here is a link to the RSVP page:

http://www.airforums.com/forums/cale...1-9&redirect=1

It is also provided in post #4 on the first page of this thread.

I just did some checking...so far we have 23 RSVPs (two of our RSVPs do not list their site number). As of this morning, loop 103 has 55 of 62 available sites already reserved (I am assuming most are Airstreamers). That means about half of you have not registered on the RSVP page.

Your RSVP is important as we use it to create a map of who is located where in the park for your use during Canopener (courtesy of Florida 55....the video man). Each of you will receive a copy of the map in your welcome packet. You will really enjoy having the map and list of attendees you will meet and what their Forum names are. Also your information is critical for us doing the planning so we know how many to expect.

Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated by your Canopener 2015 volunteer staff.
Advise if you have any difficulty with the RSVP process.

Thanks in advance and get prepared for a great event!

I was flabbergasted by how full it already is....are most of those spots airstreams in the main loop and otherwise? I think we booked the last spot in the main loop for 2014 canopener back in like july or so of 2013...

Great videos btw.

"We have been worried about you. Your posting has been way too sporadic and limited recently! Glad to see you back. "

well, I will fear I will never meet the precedent of my number of posts prior to purchase and breakin' in the airstream...the run up to that time I had a million questions. I love communicating online (and in person) - but as a newB before owning an airstream I had a million questions...as time goes by and I become a seasoned camper I am sure I will feel able more so to answer questions to folks on the forums perhaps?

Dont worry though, I think I am still chatty enough to not entirely shock you all into thinking I died or something.

But I noticed you came willingly to South Beach with your "bar on wheels" in tow. Apparently the Hamptons are just a little too subdued.

Greg, He is a gentlemen of New Orleans upbringing and he and Cindy serve iced tea out of that cart!

I'll have you know we were merely carrying refreshments to what we thought was going to be a polo match. Next time we will bring Mint Juleps and Grey Poupon. Seeing as how cornhole has become the polo of Canopians.

Made Reservations

PizzaChop and crew will be on the corner pull-thru site #112.

We will likely bring the children, portable fire pits, laser light show, marshmallows, pizza (maybe), and other forms of entertainment.

Pizzachop, if I remember correctly that will be a good spot to put up the tent and band equipment. Thanks for the heads up on the limited spots.

Map idea?

Here's a suggestion for the map for Canopener 2015, put UNK for unknown on the sites for which no RSVP was done, and/or can't be accounted for it the previous posts....

I will try to go through the lists and mark the map printout I will do, to come up with a list....

In a rare moment of self motivation, I made a list and checked it against this forum thread and the RSVP link.

Sites unknown:
101, 105, 111, 114, 115, 117, 118, 123, 124, 125, 129, 131, 132, 142, 143, 151, 152, 153, 154, 155, 156, 160, 164, 166.

Two RSVP did not indicate a site, just they were coming.

Everything else in the 103 loop had an RSVP, a thread post, or both.

Still 10 1/2 months to go.....

Thanks for your efforts on this....hopefully folks will fill in their RSVPs on the thread. If not, they will not be included on the map which would be a shame.

I've never been to Canopener, and never been to Topsail, either. However, the 2015 Canopener just happens to be the first Airstream rally to be held after my anticipated retirement date of January 2nd, 2015— which makes it a potentially very appealing venue for celebrating my new-found freedom.

However, when I go to the ReserveAmerica website, and do a search on Loop 103, it comes up with no matching sites. The loop is fully booked.

Given that I've got an Interstate with toad, I figured that Site 026, in Loop 101, is probably my best bet since it's a pull-through and I won't have to block traffic while unhitching my toad before occupying the site. It's also not far from Loop 103 (I think). Arriving the 7th, leaving the 13th.

Protag,
All the sites are actually long enough to accommodate your Interstate and Fit.
You can choose any sight you want.
Being in the 103 loop is great, but the whole campground is easily walkable.
