That is good news Al. I have a good bit of tar on the AS and will be glad to watch an old pro, such as yourself, remove it with whiskey!

Not real sure about your UCLA question unless it refers to 1974. Deb was on the NC State women 's team that year . Wow-40 yrs ago .

Al and Missy on 148

First timers just reserved 148. Hopefully we will have learned how to do this by then. We just brought home a 2001 Safari 25A and are learning all about it. So far the only glitch has been sanitizing the water system per the recommended procedure killed the water pump. I pulled and disassembled it and the diaphragm was yellow and hard. New pump on order and will be here Tuesday.

All major systems checked out and serviced with one exception. I haven't tested the water heater but I cleaned the flue and cabinet today so as soon as I get the water pump I'll fire it up.

Really enjoyed the videos and are looking forward to meeting everyone and having a great time!

Silverbee: UCLA=University of Campbell between Lillington and Angier as we used to refer to it years ago. And that is neat that Deborah played at NC State.

Thanks for the info. Was not familiar with that one but know Campbell well.
1974 was the year State's men beat UCLA in the final four ending their 7 year championship streak. Finally beat Marquette for the championship. Quite a team.

Congratulations

Congratulations on the new Airstream. You will really enjoy Canopener and just about any get together involving these great folks. My wife and I have been RV'ing all our lives, but once we got aluminum in our veins our list of friends on the road just exploded.

I am familiar with all those random obscure North Carolina towns.
I have changed HVAC filters and cleaned refrigeration coils at the Dollar Generals in all of those towns .

I was wondering who booked that site! I was thinking of taking it, as we checked that last map for the 2014 meet, not wanting to take someone's preferred site, so I could be closer to Heuers on 144 - he is my former high school band director from the early 70's. But, we are happy with 127 as it looks great in the photos, and will be good spot for Jasmine, our mini dachshund, with little activity behind us.

Hope to meet you there!

OK, we got our regular site booked again for next year. Looking forward to seeing you all down there again, and catching up with former Bandsman from my teaching days, Tom Ketchum and his wife at site 127. Alumitater Tom, let me know how I can help and the planning progresses.

The Luckyducks are back again on site 119. Our eighth Canopener - only missed the first one. It's hard to believe we have to wait 11 more months. Russ

Echoing Alphonse if you want to be on the Canopener map please post your site number on the RSVP page. I'll issue an "early bird" map in a couple of weeks.

If you want to be in the 103 loop, make your reservations now. Likely it will be fully booked by early March.
