HOME at last! (12 hours later)
Well that was an interesting return trip!
Had a Goodyear Marathon trailer tire separate somewhere between Eufala and Phenix City, AL (Mark and Kerry (BeachHouse) know the spot) and less than an hour back on the road, the van's charging system quit.
Limped into a Walmart around Newnan and purchased two batteries (one for the Airstream, which we needed anyway) and finally got back on the road and through Atlanta before the new battery died around Commerce, GA. Used the deep cycle RV battery to make it home and I'll deal with it all today, once I've had enough coffee.
We had a really good time at the CanOpener and appreciate all the hard work and organization that went into it, from Russ & Greg to everyone else.
The campground was very nice and the kids had a blast! Enjoyed meeting new friends as well as seeing some old ones.
Hope to be there next year!

We are finishing our last breakfast and coffee here at Topsail. We have had a good trip. Our first rally could not have gone better! Thanks go to all of those "rally veterans" who get the credit for a successful event. We have been spending these last two days enjoying riding our bikes with our white Husky, Snowy, and sitting out on the beach. If any of you read my post about hitting the nude beach, forget it! It does not exist! That was a teaser like the photo someone posted early on about the view another person would have when he got here! However it was a "bare" beach, just not a nude beach! We know now we will doing other rallies!

We won't be at the Canopener next year, but not for lack of interest (we expect to be out west). But I am sure we will be thinking of you, as it is one of our favorite events.

My favorite parts of the rally:
1. Emerald water and dolphins jumping
2. Music and laser lights at Pizzachop's sight. Those kids rock.
3. More Airstreams than I have ever seen in one place.

Great minds think alike.

May your next outing be trouble free.
We made it home at about 6 after driving all day in the rain.
Memories for a lifetime.

Thanks to everyone who made the Canopener a success. Good time, good food, good friends. The Luckyducks did such a great job, looking forward to next year. Tom and Robin do not think twice about asking for assistance, the Canopener keeps growing as dose the work to make it happen.

Ditto here...
Well, it's official, our second rally is the BEST rally ever! We met so many nice people, learned a bunch about how to upgrade our trailer/rig that we'll be thinking about it all the way back to Oregon!
Also, a huge thank you to Ron Lester over at Foley RV. After touring his trailers there at Topsail we got to talking about exciting things like toilet valve's! Sure enough, he found our part by the time we got there yesterday and had it installed in less than an hour! Wow, that is customer service!!!
Ron also gave us some great restaurant recommendations and a free place to stay with hookups in Foley's back lot! A+++ all around for Ron and his team.
Thanks again to Russ and his crew for putting on a great event.
Happy Travels everyone.

Alumitator (Tom and Robin) are the new organizers for next year's rally and will be doing a post soon announcing it.
Remember to send your Canopener photos to the link that Florida 55 (Chuck) posted a few days ago. Chuck will be preparing a video of the rally.
We'll see you next year. One of my goals will be beating Dickhead in the Cornhole Tournament.

Ok Tom & Robin!
Can we agree on the dates for 2015? Same time next year (Jan 9-11th), or are you going to make us wait for a more officious announcement?

Couldn't say it any better than those who have already posted. We really enjoyed our 3rd Canopener, and we'll be back next year. Eagerly await the date being set, and will mark my February calendar exactly 11 months backwards to make our reservation. Thanks again to all who contribute to make it such a friendly event for all.

Canopener 2014
Fellow Canopenians:
Our personal thanks to Russ and all the folks who put Canopener 2014 together and are assisting us with planning for next year.
As I sit here in our Airstream reflecting on our week at Topsail, I cannot help but wonder if it truly can get any better. Wonderful venue, great friends, wonderful food, great music......I mean what's not to like?
Be patient with us and we will have a Canopener 2015 thread opened as soon as we can finalize some details. I mean seriously, we haven't even gotten home yet!
We appreciate the offers of assistance and assure you we will try to involve all who wish to participate.
We promise to do our very best to follow the outstanding tradition forged by Ron and Jen, Russ and Linda and the other previous coordinators. They have, after all, set the bar pretty high.
As previously observed, it is truly a team effort.
Tom and Robin.

Hope you didn't have any trailer damage from the failed Goodyear Marathon. If you are interested in a tire monitoring system let me know. I installed 5 at the Canopener and shipped 2 more. Jerry 813-781-2995.

We made it home about 5:30 last night without incident. Re-winterized the AS tonight, it will be a few weeks before we break it out again. Like many have already said, it was another great Canopener. This was our 7th and it seems like they get better every year. Thanks to Russ and Linda and the host of volunteers for making this work. And a special thanks to Foley for their support. See you all next year.
