Oh no, he's not going to prance around the campfire in Auburn pajamas with the flag, yelling "War Eagle" is he? I'll bring my drum.

Would anyone be up for going out to a local seafood eatery for dinner on Wednesday night like we did last year? It was an excellent way to kick of the rally.

Oh. no! I don't want that picture in my mind. Can I unsee and unremember the thought? No!
I'll just have to think of something else. How about Heidi Klum in her spoof of Risky Business? That'll do.

Not to change subjects…But…
The Southeastern Camping Unit WBCCI would like to invite all Canopians to Happy Hour on Friday, January 10th. Come to Site 109 at 4:30 and join us! Jerry and Irene are kind enough to provide the spot and we will have at least 22 Regular and Affiliate members at the Canopener.
See you there.

Pharmgeek, how is that new trailer working out? I was very impressed by it when I took a look at it at Foley's.

It is perfection for us so far.
Had our first trip over 4 day tukey day weekend and all was great! No problems at all.
It has served for a home base for some sleeping and cooking, or general escape often in the past 4-6 weeks during a big kitchen renovation...finished it just 1.5 weeks ago...
Family now when visiting will have many more sleeping options, used to be blow up mattresses, my old crappy couch (just got new one delivered on 12/24/13 ) - now either we can sleep out there, or visa-versa...my nieces are already excited about visiting after seeing the pics.
Oh, and my favorite perk so far is - on a date night, no need to go straight "home" - can have some peace and quite in our 2nd home....few date nights lately though with the holidays, birthdays, renovations, etc...but will so soon.
Only problems I have now are a leak from hot water heater drain plug..picked up some of that white plumbers tape the other day, need to take out the plug, re-thread with that stuff, and put back in and see if that does the trick...also, still need to fiddle with the hitch and break controller - switz gave me a heads up on my minor "bump" issue with my PP - have not had time to read his thread possible solution to that...I can only get it to bump at very low speeds when stopping with heavy breaking...
Please send anything tangential to this thread via PM to me as I dont want to hijack this thread with a number of sub-topics necessarily....
And of course, I will see all you fine folks there who will be eager and willing to show me the tricks of the trade!
Hope everyone had and is enjoying their respective holiday traditions!

also other perk of the AS 2nd home in the back yard, is a late night "man can" hangout with some friends (Priscilla does not approve of the official name of "the man can" as it is too gender exclusive, but among my buddies it is a term enjoying some usage). I am not much a drinker unless the mood really strikes me...but a couple buddies are bourbon fans, and brought over a bottle of four roses to break in "the man can" - they all very much approved, and we will also plan some "man trips" in 2014 to get away from kids etc for a weekend....
Still we have no official name...ive been so busy I have had little time to even think much about it....nothing has struck me except for my unofficial name (and I wonder how common and even cliche that name is among AS-ers?)

The Loaded Baked Potato and Sir Campsalot sound like good names, but realistically we just call it "the trailer"...how unoriginal and unimaginative...
