Tim,
I don't mind the swim. The water is not that cold. The bike ride back gets a little chilly in my speedo. I'm really not much company either.

If not deployed I would like to bring my family by to check out some trailers; we live close by, so it will be a break from the norm. We would like to see some of the 27' and larger floorplans (TT).

"Belly pan polishing 101?"
baahahahahahahahaha -
I like your other ideas...we DEFINATELY will be doing smores...we should do a group event for that
Bike rides? we have two bikes but none of the baby/kid accessories and my kids are not yet riding bikes - cannot wait till they do...be great fun.
I am all for a shell hunt with the kids...I hope we dont have too much of a cold snap at that point...
If it is crazy cold one day and we get stir crazy we may venture out to where there is some indoor playground or something like that...not exactly camping related but hey...need them to run energy off....ill google and look around that area....
I know "IggyWalker" (aka allison and rhett) have a 8 or 9 year old daughter who loves playing with kids as well....

Sounds great. Hopefully the weather will hold out.
Where is the group fire usually at?

I've never been there - but hopefully others will know - I have a propane fire pit - but in these temps the real deal may be preferable.

Hi NORFLA,
Welcome to the forums and Canopener thread. I think I read on another thread you posted on you were thinking getting an Airstream in the future and you have another brand now. Why don't you reserve a site and come on over and join the fun. The open house is a great way to see a bunch of Airstreams of all makes, sizes and years. If you can't camp with us, just come on over. Let Roadtoaster know your coming and he'll fix you up name tags.
We appreciate your service and would welcome you and your family!
Joe & Annette

Not to worry Ellery, if it get really cold, propane heaters tend to show up for sure nuff heat. Plus I think Thor is coming.
