Please remember that I lead the polar bear plunge on Saturday morning, right before breakfast with the ranger.

No additional cost for first time attendees.

I think I RSVP'd successfully. We will be on site 145. I will not be participating in any polar bear plunge...breakfast with the ranger- maybe...

Wink Canopener 2014

Well I just RSVP'd to allay the fears of all doubters out there. I missed Cloudland which I regret terribly so Canopener or bust!

I'm not sure if I RSVP'd correctly - I may have done it twice. Nonetheless, my husband, Ron, and I just reserved site 165 from January 9th-13th. This will be our inaugural AS event. We will be full-timing it and though not sure where we'll be in January (hell, we're not sure where we'll be next month!) but wanted to jump on the opportunity to meet some new friends. We haven't even picked up our baby yet, but are very excited to have this event be our first line item in our Airstream Expense journal.

Oops - I've been corrected - it will be our THIRD line item. #1 was the baby ... #2 big brother TV. <tee hee>.

Can't wait!

You may want to thin of it less as an Expense Journal and more as a Fun Folio.

You will know me as the person on the beach holding everyone's towels and an AED, which I understand to be good for heart and lower extremity issues.

I will update the map about once a month, possibly a little more frequently, until we get closer to the date. There is quite a bit of work in updating and it is less time consuming to do several updates at once.

I didn't know you could use it for the heart. Bring one to Hunting Island and we'll see what happens.

There are only 4 campsites left on loop 103. There may be silver trailers scattered about in other loops.

It sounds like it is going to be a full house for Canopener 2014. Procrastinators’ are going to end up out in the suburbs, so you best get those reservations in ASAP if you want to be close to the action.

Question - if check out is at 1pm Sunday - how does that coordinate with the rally? Things officially wrap up at that point?

If not do most stay through Monday?

Things pretty much rap up after breakfast on Sunday and people start heading out. It seems last year a good number left on Monday and some were even staying a bit longer. We do have a number of snow birds attending from all over and they are not in a big hurry to head on out.

I go early and stay late for all rallies. It is a long drive for us- pretty much all day. If we drove down Friday and back home Sunday we would miss 2/3 of the rally. We will attend worship services somewhere Sunday. Leaving after lunch could work. Get home 10 pm- I would rather get up and go home early Monday morning. For the Magnolia Messenger RV rallies in Grapeland, TX and Louisville, MS we usually go several days early to have time to spend with friends before the official start of the rally. It is fun to arrive early and watch all the rigs come in.
