Sunnygirl and I are delayed until Saturday due to the unexpected need to care for aging parents. In addition to my role as mapmaker for Canopener rallies, last year I took on the job of compiling a slideshow video recording the event for posterity. The video was uploaded to YouTube and Airforums.
Due to my late arrival I won't be able to photograph many of the activities personally. Therefore I'm asking those of you willing to place your own Canopener 2014 photos in the public domain to contribute your shots to the cause. I'll edit the submissions and produce an 8 or 9 minute video set to music. I will again upload the video to YouTube and post it on Airforums.
I've set up a site to upload photos for the Canopener video slideshow at the link below. At the site you will be able to see other submissions. This is a public site so any rights you claim to the creative content are considered waived once you upload. In other words if you don't want the public to see the photos, and you don't want them to be in the video, don't upload them! Also, uploading a photo does not guarantee the photo will be used. Last year I selected about 150 shots from almost 1000.
All submissions are appreciated. If you have some video you'd like to contribute, see me Saturday or Sunday (site 135) or PM me so we can arrange a video upload. This year I'd like to make the Canopener video a combination of still and motion shots.
Here's the link. Please upload your best photos!
