Thanks Michael! I have not talked to Russ to see what the plan will be for this coming year. I'm sure we'll bring some Airstream goodies!

Rick, hopefully you & JJ can make it over for this one. I need to get in to the dealership and talk to June about a project I have in mind. It seems there is always something that needs to be worked on when you have a vintage Airstream. I was over last week and took a look at the new 23 rear bedroom. Wish I could swing a trade-up but that is going to have to wait a while longer.

Michael,
If you are going to trade up, I should get first right of refusal on the Bambi II.
I've got dibs on that!

Joe make me an offer I can not refuse and we can talk. I am ready to get something a bit larger.

Sorry you had to cancel, we enjoyed our time with both of you. Plan on 2015 so as not to forget what you learned this year.

First post in thread has video and photo links. Do a search a very long thread has runs every year since 2007.

Here is the post that started it all.

Hi! It's hard to describe what this rally is like but here goes. Imagine being in a campground loop with 60-80 other Airstream trailers/MOHOs. This roughly equates to 120-140 people who you will quickly become friends with. There are people of all ages (lots of pets too). The social aspect of this rally can't be overemphasized. Through the potluck dinner and breakfast, open house, breakfast with the ranger, cornhole tournament, entertainment, and constant meeting of new people, you will be exhausted when the rally is over.

One thing I really enjoy is seeing friends from prior year's rallies. It becomes sort of a reunion of family members. Anyway, the common denominator of this rally is fun. Look back at the first page of this thread and see the links to the video and photos of last January's rally. Also use the "search function" to find the Canopener 2013 Rally thread and again view the videos on the first page and look at all the pages in the thread. There was a Schedule of Events that was posted in the November/December 2012 timeframe. All of this will give you more of a feeling of the Canopener Rally.

Come on down - you will have a good time! And the beaches of northwest Florida are absolutely beautiful - white sand, clear water, margaritas,... Russ

PharmGeek: Canopener has one major plus; - No Politics! Emphasis is on fun, fellowship, food and mystery drinks. Not necessarly in that order. Top Sail park is a beautiful state park overseen by one of the best professional and volunteer staffs I have experienced. The past Canopener weather was a bit of a challenge but that just added to the memories.
