Although we had to cancel this year, we plan to be there next year! Sure missed all our friends and their shiny aluminum Airstreams. I'm in the process of editing the Canopener video. If you have photos to submit, this is your last chance. Please upload to the Canopener DropEvent site. Click on link below:

The process is simple. On the event page, on the right there is a headline "Add to this Event". Click on the blue "Upload Photos" button. You will then be sent to a new page to add files. Click the "Choose" button and you can select the photo files to upload from your computer.

Please upload any photos you wish to have considered for inclusion in the Canopener 2014 video by 8:00 PM eastern time Monday, January 27.

All but the first 2-3 were posted by me- either I took the picture, or a lifted from posts on this thread- all pertinent stolen pictures from this thread are already posted-
There are bound to be many more photos in the 200 participants' phones and/or cameras-

Two people have posted photos since my request for pictures last night. If you can't post to the DropEvent link, post to this Canopener 2014 thread on Airforums and I'll try to lift them from this thread if the resolution is high enough.

Please indicate in your post, or a PM to me, that I have permission to use your photos on Airforums. The same goes for photos that have already been posted to the Forums. There are some good shots that have already been posted on this thread that I'll try to use with permission. PM me with the number of your Forums post to give me permission use. If you uploaded to DropEvent I'm assuming I have your permission to use.

I have over 400 photos and some video footage to work with. I'd like to get about 100 more photos to choose from as some of the photos I have are similar to others and some are not high enough resolution. The video will use about between 100 photos, plus some video, so I can't guarantee every photo you submit will be included.

If you have video to submit, PM me and I'll give you an address to send a DVD, memory card, or USB stick. I will not be able to return the USB, memory card, or DVD so don't send your only copy.

Given the difficulty some of you are experiencing uploading, I'll extend the deadline for submitting photos to Friday. I tried uploading to the Canopener 2014 link at DropEvent last night and it worked for me. Next year I'll try to have a better system in place for sharing photos and video.

If you don't wish to submit photos you can go to the DropEvent link and view the photos submitted by other Canopener attendees. You can also download the photos on DropEvent for your personal use.

I'll take suggestions for songs to use for the background music. I have a couple in mind but I'm open to suggestions. Please provide name of the song, the artist, and the album if you know it. I will download the music from iTunes.

My apologies for this video taking longer than last year to make. Both of my parents have been extremely ill so I've had limited time to work on the video. Plus I'm learning to use a new editing software program in order to be able to include video in the production.

We all appreciate the hard work you put into creating the "Canopener site map" and the event video. Your efforts add so much to the event.

Most of us are at the age where we transition to caregivers/guardians for our parents. It is an interesting journey to say the least.

I am confident all offer our support and understanding. Take whatever time you need.
