Sorry I haven't chimed in sooner, but this time of year is a little crazy. Got the day job and playing music 3 to 4 nights a week. So...! looking forward to seeing old friends and relaxing for a bit. Didn't get to be there last year due to other commitments.

Looks like the weather will suck on Tuesday but start getting better by Wednesday. Think that's when we're coming. Saturday is a 60% chance of rain unless they change it. Won't be the first time we've gotten wet but we'll hope it stays dry for the potluck Saturday. I'll setup my small Bose in the clubhouse after and entertain a bit. (Gonna need a few lady volunteers to help me get silly.) Then (depending on spirit consumption) I'll be setup for the very talented Airstream crowd to do karaoke. I'll make sure and bring one of my mics the kids can use if we have any. I'm looking for a child star that I can manage and retire on their coat tales. LOL!

A/S looking good, neighbors! I want to wash mine before we head down there. Refilled my propane bottles today. I wanted to keep the furnace on during these cold nights we are having. I did not drain the water lines.

Canopener 2014

We plan to head south Tuesday morning, and the forecast is -5 F to -10 F. The north is getting hit pretty hard right now. The trailer is winterized, but man it scares me a little towing at those temps. I would think things get pretty brittle in the trailer at those temperatures. Anyone have experience towing that cold? Any problems? That hot chili sure sounds good

We are heading out from Ontario tomorrow. We've pulled in these cold temps before, usually turn the furnace on while driving to have a bit of warmth when we stop. The foam mattress gets pretty hard when froze solid.

So far it looks like we have a good weather forecast.
Thursday- mostly sunny, high 63, low 53
Friday- sunny, high 65, low 55
Saturday- cloudy, high 66, low 55
Sunday- rain, high 64, low 53
It don't get much better 'n that!
Looks like I will leave here in the rain Thursday, but when I get there the weather will be good! I won't waste time and money washing the truck 'n' trailer if it is raining when I go by the Blue Beacon truck wash in Pearl, MS. May have a dirty rig for Canopener...

We live in the middle of the weather, political, social, economic, and law making experiment. We will test anything. You have to remember New Jersey has the best politicians money can buy so we get it all first.

Update on the Thursday Night Music Opportunity

The group "Lucky Mud" is the main headliner but other musicians may be performing original acoustic music also. The location is the outdoor amphitheater (right next to the clubhouse). We're having the chili and dessert potluck at 4:30pm so the timing is good. Open mic is at 6pm and the main concert is 7-8pm. Lucky Mud performs traditional American folk music and have released 8 CDs. I've included a link to their website: Lucky Mud - Music with Words. Russ
I've learned that the Thursday night musical entertainment is now going to be held inside the clubhouse. I've been assured that this won't stop our chili event as we will be the primary audience for Lucky Mud. The only impact I see is that any conversations need to held outside on the back porch so as not to impact the music. Russ
