aw there's a red house over yonder
that's where my baby stay
I ain't been home now

wait a minute
something's wrong here
my key won't unlock this doe
I said wait a minute
something's wrong here
my key won't unlock the doe
I got a bad, bad feelin' my baby don't live here no mo'
I still got my guitar
I might well go on back down
go back 'cross yonder over the hill
I might as well go back yonder
way back yonder 'cross the hill

"Delta Queen" has changed from site #80 to site #54 to be a little closer to the aluminum crowd. Thanks Chuck for your map.. site #51 on your map shows "IggyWalker"attending, Topsail's web site shows it available? Both site #51 and #52 are 20' max trailer..

Always impressive Chuck with your mapping skills! The time is quickly approaching......I believe it's time to breakout "the recipe" and test drive it before the big event. Hmm, what secret ingredient improvements shall we make this year?
Can't wait to be able to get on the road again!
Annette

You and us both, we are getting antsy, and it's not even Thanksgiving yet. BTW Annette, you can't improve perfection, but hey, it can't hurt to try. I'll bet the recipe tweaking experiment is a blast, especially since ingredients are measured in ounces & slices instead of gallons & bushels. Looking forward to it!

Call for volunteers

Canopenians:

I have volunteered to round up some folks with strong backs and weak minds (matches my qualifications) to help with setting up the serving tables and such for the potluck dinner (4:00 PM) and following festivities at the clubhouse (7:00 PM) on Saturday. Here is what the job would entail:

At 2:00 PM on Saturday, we would meet at the Clubhouse to move tables (about 10) to the site of the potluck on Wild Oak Lane. While at the Clubhouse, we would re-arrange the chairs in the Clubhouse to accommodate the evening festivities.

The set-up for the potluck on Wild Oak Lane would include putting up Easy-up canopies, arranging tables, and running extension cords and installing lighting.

After the dinner (about 6:00 PM) we would knock down the canopies, return the tables back to the Clubhouse and perform general cleanup of the area.

This won't be a big deal if we have several folks volunteer to assist. So if you would not mind pitching in, drop me a line via PM or add your name to the sign up list below.

I really would appreciate anyone bringing additional Easy-up canopies, tables, extension cords, or any lights you might have available. We'll really need the canopies if we have inclement weather like last year. And we need a truck or two to transport the tables.

Looking forward to seeing you all. Tom

Volunteer sign up list:
1. Tom

Canopenian

I like that! Because I like it and Tom came up with it, the word will probably be deemed politically incorrect by some fringe group and be forever banned. But for now, I'm sticking with it!
We may have to start a group named the "Loyal Order of the Canopenians".
Now back to the volunteers:

Volunteer sign up list:
1. Tom
2. Joe - with an approved Canopenian pop up.

Now you can serve Canapes under the Canopy to the Canopenians.
