Okay, now we're second-guessing ourselves. Are dogs allowed at Topsail, just not on the beach? We leave Wednesday for a jaunt around the southeast to end at Canopener and we're thinking about bringing ours.

Dogs are allowed, as you say, not on the beach.

are we too late to join the fun?
Just found this and wondered if it is too late to join in..there are 3 of us...my husband, myself and our fifteen year old daughter.....we would be coming in on Thursday and may need to leave on Saturday to go home....(long drive and I have to work on Monday.)
Advise please.....it's our first time, in our first airstream......!

Not to late at all! Make a reservation and come when you can and leave when you have to. You are more than welcome.
Hope to see you,

Breakfast with the Ranger
A reminder! If you want to attend this breakfast (it's educational too) you need to sign up. I'm waiting on a call back from the host of this breakfast on what date he needs a firm number of people. He needs to know in advance how many people to make breakfast for (how much food to buy). You can't sign up once you arrive at the rally. Right now, we have room for 19 more people.
Here's a recap of the event in case you need it: Have breakfast and hear a Ranger give a talk about Topsail Hill Preserve State Park. Located in the Clubhouse. Menu - pancakes, eggs, biscuits, sausage gravy, coffee, and orange juice. Cost is $4 per person. Due to limited space in the Clubhouse, we're limited to 80 participants. This breakfast is being hosted by the Volunteers of Topsail Hill Preserve State Park as a fundraiser for the park.

We arrived Topsail a week ago yesterday. We've been her several times but this is our first Canopener Rally. Park is in great shape as usual, clean, all plants trimmed, etc. Have had some beautiful days and some rain. Rain now and for the next couple days, but warm, around 70.
Looking forward to everyone arriving.

I see there is a severe weather threat tomorrow afternoon/evening. Never heard of a tornado that close to the coastline, but isolated ones are possible in the area it appears tomorrow. I guess one would have to hunker down in a bathhouse?
Stay safe.
