See you are from Talking Rock. I grew up in South Ga and have to say I never heard of the place. I bet it is pretty up there.

Thanks for the reply.
Talking Rock is just north of Jasper which is touted as "the 1st mountain city". About 1-1/2 hours north of Atlanta in the mountains of north-central Georgia, we're consistently cooler by 5-15 degrees than Atlanta. Lush forests, hilly roads and rushing waters does make this a beautiful place to live.
But even Paradise seems to need some downtime...

That's us! My wife's name is JJ and we attended last year's Canopener and we also attended about 4 years ago.
Just wanted to let everyone know that we have an Airstream dealership about 4 hours west of the Canopener. The dealership is located in Gulfport, Mississippi, 1 mile north of I-10 on US Hwy 49, about half way between Mobile, AL & New Orleans, LA. We have 3 paved sites with full hookups, so if anyone attending the Canopener needs a place to stay on the way there or on the way back, please let me know. You're welcome to stay a couple of nights, no charge, of course!
We're looking forward to seeing everyone in January.

There are a lot of sites still available! Although loop 103 is full, loops 100 and 101 always end up with a number of AS trailers too (more in loop 101). Note that the potlucks, breakfast with the ranger, etc are in the clubhouse which is next to loop 101. Check out the campground map for the clubhouse location (next to the amphitheater). However, everything is fairly close and within walking distance.
Keep in mind that there are always a few cancellations in December/early January as we approach the rally. You could change your reservation at that time and move into the main loop.
Hope you come. I remember you (and your gang) from Desoto this past May.

HEY - Dude, that's a trade secret. Keep that info close man, that's the only way I can get in....... Ugh, I work years for a sneak attack and BANG, ya give it away.
It's true though, there are always lots of last minute bailouts and there will be sights. It's worked for me for 3 seperate Canopeners, I'd like to thisk it will work this year. And yes, the whole campground is very nice.

Canopener 2013
We've just reserved site #26 for our first ever rally and we're really looking forward to it. Can't wait to see all that silver in one place! And I will be checking Reserve America regularly to try and catch a cancellation in the 103 loop. Thanks, Clancy Boy!

Buddy and Barbara,
We look forward to seeing you there. Last year was the first year for us. We can't wait to get back, visit with our "old" friends and meet new ones. We have a 30, too, so come visit us in #144 in the corner.

Updated Canopener Map
Here's an updated Canopener Map. Remember that we use the RSVP signup list as the source for this map, so if you haven't done the RSVP signup yet, please do. Different people use the RSVP signup list to create the map, badges, attendee lists, etc. If you need any assistance on how to do the RSVP signup, please PM me. Here's the link to the map:
Canopener_Map
I'll be posting the rally agenda in the next month.

Hey Russ,
We're newbies to the AS rally, but not to Top Sail for the past several years. We're in site 127, currently "unknown".

Canopener Map
Hey AirEgger and mojo, I have it on good authority from someone who knows more than me about computers that you need to click on your refresh button and the updated map should show up fine. Try it. Russ

Welcome! Looking forward to seeing your polished AS. I've seen your thread and you really made your trailer shine. We'll need sunglasses at this rally when the sun is out! Russ

That is great, look forward to meeting you. I saw you posted on the Air Pocono thread. AWCHIEF did also and is coming to the Canopener. Maybe we can start planning a Alumalanta or Talledarestream NASCAR rally there. Who knows where that will lead.
That would give us a purpose for extending the Bloody Mary time. Like we need a reason.

Shameless promotion: You got to get the word out to make it happen!
For all of us that just cannot wait for Canopener there is going to another Airforums rally at The Lincoln Parish Park October 12-14, 2012 near Ruston, Louisiana.
http://www.airforums.com/forums/calendar.php?do=getinfo&day=2012-10-12;&e=987&c=1
Check it out, looks like a nice little park for a get together. Location should be very good for folks from East Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi and Louisiana for that quick get away for a few days for fun and good company with fellow Airstreamers.

StreamNTyme, thanks for the note, we're looking forward to meeting you and the others. We've done extended stays at TS with our 5th wheel, have seen the AS rally and talked with several attendees, always a good time. We traded for our AS late July. We'll do some local shake-down trips in our area, but the FL trip will be our first biggie with the AS. We'll be arriving mid Dec for about five weeks. See you January.
