Phil, you were really lucky to not have gotten a potential fatal shock from that reversed polarity receptacle. I have a shock-surge supressor purchased from Camping World that I have not always used at campgrounds but will now all the time after reading about your incident. Deer Run RV Park (where we have stayed at on the way to Florida) had better correct that problem immediately before they get a liability lawsuit from a unfortunate victim. Hope you have a great time at the Can Opener. Camper Dave

First official day of the Canopener! As usual, it was a fun filled day. Great to see so many friends that have been here before. There are a lot of first timers this year. Hope you have a great time and return next year. See you all tomorrow.

For you late arrivers, name tags and packets will be available Saturday morning. See me at site 154.

Just a note, I keep a circuit checker plugged into a outlet by the entrance door permanently, I even colored it silver with a marker pen. Always on and easy to check as soon as you hookup, cost a couple of dollars. Use the same trick on my boat.

Everyone have fun at the CanOpener wish I were there.

Thank you

Margaritaville would have closed early yesterday without contributions of ice, tequila and mix by Captain Hank, knunut, Airstreemer and AWPPC. I appreciate it, I suspect your fellow patrons do as well. Please forgive me if I failed to give credit for something else or left someone off, I was a little busy at times and my brain capacity is not what it once was!

We are so sorry not to be there. Where can we send our $8.00 for our two missed breakfasts with the rangers? Our deer-hit airstream is now sealed to the elements again. Will be camping by spring. There's much to be rebuilt inside and out. Really wish we were there!!!!!!!

Breakfast with the Ranger Saturday Morning

It's Saturday morning and time for breakfast with the park ranger. The park volunteers hosted at breakfast of biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, pancakes, orange juice and coffee. Ranger Fred covered a number of current topics at the park including the wildlife, the work camper program, and the history of the park. The volunteers cooked the breakfast and the proceeds went to fund programs at the park.

First picture - the clubhouse where the breakfast took place.
Second picture - Russ and Jose handling the money
Third pictures - the volunteers preparing the meal
Fourth picture - starting to gather inside the clubhouse
Fifth picture - Ranger Fred
Sixth picture - enjoying the meal

Canopener-----

Pete & Geneva sure miss you all. NO, we made it to the rally, but here we are in site #111, same as last year, but we have such horrible colds that we cannot come out & join in without subjecting each of you to this. We're in here & we're watching as best we can & we're really, really sorry that we are not able to be out & about with all of you. There in spirit though---

Have fun!!!!! Pete & Geneva aboard 'Woodja'
