campers
You are right. There are a couple or so people that have not posted up to show they are coming.I have gotten some e-mails from them a while ago.some people just want to keep it simple like that and I respect it.
Last year there were quite a few people that showed up that we did not see on the list.It was BIG last year.(Well....It was a lot of people anyways.)I have a feeling the turnout will be great this time also.Maybe a little less but it is still a lot of people.
Would anyone like to reserve the campground building for us.It just needs to be called in with the dates and then you have to pick up the keys on fri or sat morning.Definantly before they do shift change at night though.Thanks.

Tee Shirts
I've had a few questions about the Can Opener Tee Shirts, so I'll address them here.
Q. Do we need to pre-order the tee shirts, or can we just by one off the shelf once we get to the rally?
A. NO, I won't be attending the rally this year. The tee shirts are one-of-a-kind being custom printed and designed just for this rally. Each individual order will than be shipped (with your name on it) to Steve for pick-up and payment. If you order a tee and than don't pay for it, were stiffed for the price. If you don't pre-order, you won't have one EVER.
Q. Some secret rally attendees want to know if they can order on-line IN-ADVANCE and have them shipped directly to their home .
A. Yes, you can have a tee sent directly to your home IN-ADVANCE of the rally, (AT THE SAME DISCOUNTED RALLY PRICE) just E-MAIL me.

Can Opener
It was started in the very first rally. You can see how it was done in the first post and so on.It is big so there is a lot of reading you will have to do.

Club House
I just signed up the Club House for the Rally for Fri and Sat night. The only thing though is that someone will have it in the morning of saturday and that is it.Other than that we have a club house to use.I have been looking at the sites and it seems that the site 126 I had reserved will be tight if we have close to the same amount of people we had last year.I say that we put the tables on the side of the road and use the whole site for a sitting area.I talk to the rangers at the desk and they remember us and said it was ok.(Who knows what will happen when the time comes though.
Also on another note. They are redoing the main entrance at the park.a new road has been made and the first entrance will be the new gateway, not the second one that everyone used as the main gate. They told me that it should be finished by the new year.
They now have more cabins and also have a tenting area with a few more camping spots. From what I was told it is around 150 spots if I remember correctly.I forgot about asking them about the WIFI but that was still in the works when they told me last year.

Brrrrr, 31 degrees yesterday morning , time to head south .
See ya'll in site 128 Friday mid-day, we will probably leave Thursday after work and stay over in Hattiesburg, then goof our way through Pensacola/hwy 98 and get there some time after lunch Friday.
Who's gonna bribe the weatherman and not repeat the winter blast we had last year?

It's 48 degrees here in Santa Rosa Beach (2 miles from Topsail) this morning. We've got the gas fireplace going at the house.

Can't imagine...I'll take the heat of summer anytime. But, then again I was born to it.

Weather
Clear weather here.Ocean is as smooth as glass.Temps reached up to around 63 today but will be cold at night. The rest of this week the temps will climb up to around 70 and I then I think another cold front is going to come.Water temps are running around 68 degrees. As long as you have a spring suit you can go swimming(Being a Florida boy this is cold weather.) unless you are in the polar bear club and I know some of you would think this is bath water compared to up north.

hahaha, love it Steve. So you inspired me... live from the Lapeer Michicam, 5:30 p.m. Most of yesterday's snow melted but you can see it's working on replenishing itself right now. And I am heading out to the Airstream with a nice hot cup of coffee.
