Excellent idea to begin early planning. I really like the agenda and feel that it is important for attendees to have some idea in advance to plan for, not too much organization but some. A separate social on a different night from the potluck seems to work best and allows I think more social interaction since you are not having to deal with the potluck at the same time and eating is not the immediate focus. When I walked into the clubhouse I knew immediately that this was a crowd ready to eat! The club house was necessary but crowded and noisy, hard to hear at times so let's all hope for clear skies next year. Robin and I may sponsor the Can Opener Saturday morning Airstream Dog Parade. Dress up your pooch and follow the parade through the campground.

John, that sounds like a lot of fun. We have a whole year to come up with something...let's see. Sulley already has a set of mouse ears. Hmmm.

January 8th - 10th 2010 Here is the schedule so far. Red Bar - Friday night.(I would plan to be there at around 4:30 P.M. so you all could get a table faster. That place is very popular. Open House - Saturday at 1:00 P.M. Meet at the fountain Cocktail Hour & Raffle - Saturday early evening meet at Minnies Mates site. Potluck - Saturday after the Cocktail Hour and Raffle.Maybe some entertainment during the potluck or whatever else pops up.
If we end up using the club house again for the potluck we will need to bring extra plugs for the crockpots to keep the food warm. Breakfast - Sunday morning either at the potluck site or at someone's camp site. T-Shirts - Artstream will be designing the new 2010 t-shirts for us.
I will need help again for next year. MAPS - Clancy_boy
RAFFLE - Becki
COCKTAIL HOUR - Minnies Mate
Ok..There are a couple more shists that can be ordered. Here is what is left in the batch.
You can P.M. Artstream and he will send them to you.
2 LG
2 XL
1 XXL
This is whats left so get them while you can.I had a couple e-mails already so who knows.
All dogs are special so I was thinking of a owner Certificate of Participation in the Airstream Dog Parade and a dog treat award for all pets at the end. The idea is just something fun to do, little bit of a mixer, not a real big time investment. We are a long ways off until January 2010 but if the general response seems good then we can shoot for it. The Airstream Dog Parade, Can Opener 2010.

I'm not planning this time to post a rally (maybe next year) but if anyone is heading to the big easy for the jazz fest for the first weekend send me a shout. Maybe we will run into you. We will be encamped at the New Orleans KOA West campground. We have others coming who need either a tent site or cabin and the rates are good so there is where we will be.

Yes, that was me attempting a dent removal with the help of Phil Gobie's dent puller. Partly successful, but earlier today I bought a $4.49 red plastic Bondo dent puller at an Advanced Auto Parts store, and while not perfect it is a whole lot better than it was. The dent is no longer an instantaneous magnet for my eyes, although there are still some minor marks. None the less, MUCH better. Before and after pics...
Hey, thanks again to Steve for coordinating this event and to all for making this a most awsome trip. As usual, the food was superb. I don't know who brought the Pygmy Rattler jerky, but that was really good - must send the recipe!
