Just got home a couple of hours ago. Had a great time! Nice to put faces to "handles". We had a nice trip taking the long way home along the Emerald Coastline. Found a few nice campgrounds we may explore later on this year!

We got home about 7:00 and had the easiest time backing in and parking the Airstream in ages. Got everything unpacked quickly, too. But already missing everybody from the weekend.
It was great to see old friends and meet new ones. Can't wait to see as many as can make it to the Springstream. Despite the rain it was still a great rally.
Thanks Devoman for putting everything together and coming up with the idea back in 2006 for a rally to open the '07 season. Now we have a great tradition. Let us know which weekend it will be held next year and we will be there!

We had a safe trip home and hated that we had to leave today but work would be calling. We missed the rally last year and it was good to see people that we met in 2007 and also see new faces. Devoman you really started a great thing and we thank you for the time and effort that you spend puting this rally together. Let us know the tenative dates for next year so we can be ready. Hope everyone has a safe trip home.

We made it home OK also. We stopped in Troy for two quick visits and still got home at 5:30. It was one of the most fun rallies we have been to in a long time. The food was great and the fellowship was even better. Devoman knows how to put together a rally; a lot of time to just relax and enjoy your fellow campers. We really like the name of "Can Opener" also, how appropriate. Will definately see you next year, but hope there will be more opportunities to get together before then.
We thought the facility was the best state operated campground we had seen and would like to go back sometime for a family outing. Thanks for everyone who put in time putting this together. Wish we had an extra day for more goofing off time. See everyone later down the road.

There's some cool stuff around Troy. We're going to stop there on the way down next year to see the Pioneer Museum and that antique place called Cooters. I love the old signs!
This was our first time at the Can Opener Rally. We had a great time and met a lot of wonderful people. Top Sail Park is a beautiful park. Thanks Devoman for organizing the Rally.
Becki said she would organize the raffle next year if you need her to. Whatever help you need, we'll be glad to help.

Well, I did bring my camera this time...but it rained all afternoon Saturday and my hands were full at the cocktail party/potluck dinner with food and conversation. So the only photo I took the whole weekend was this one at a rest stop at Lake Eufala on the way home:

Got back yesterday late. Gave Theresa my cold. That and the rain. Thanks everyone for a great weekend. The the pot luck is the best. My compliments to the chefs (or is it cheifs, I get confused?) My apologies to Pop Rivet for not doing karaoke. I'm sure you do a mean Humperdink. I'll plan better next year.

Sorry that Theresa fell under the weather this weekend but hope she gets well soon. I'm sure she was miserable on the trip home...been there and done that, at least she didn't have to drive.
Try to make the Springstream or Falluminum if you can. If not, we look forward to seeing you next year.
BTW, that little puppy of yours is about the curtest thing. But the funniest was watching Sulley back up when he/she tried to be friends! I didn't think Sulley was afraid of any dog that didn't attack him, but to be afraid of something the size of a Beanie-Baby was too funny!
