Thanks!
I'm not in the planning for one of these but I can tell you a little about last years rally.
It was at Topsail campground in Destin, Florida. Their website is great and the campground was very nice, near the beach, concrete pads, full hookups, etc. We had a bunch show up as stated above - lots of food and fun. Weather in January is very nice. It's - I believe - in the first week of January, I have yet to see this years dates.
Post rally comments are in the original thread at te end. Check the link below.
Yep, I'm in too. It is the first full weekend in January (thus the Can OPENER ). Devoman had the brilliant idea of a "little Florida get-together" in the winter and ended up organizing a smashing New Year's tradition this past January.
I think Devoman was holding off on starting a thread until the Georgia Falluminum was nearly underway.
I chatted with Steve (Devoman) a few weeks back. He was the organizer of this event in 2007 and said he intended to do it again in 2008. Here's his reply in a PM to me:

I'm in. TJ said he is coming too. Now we just have to figure out which camper to bring. His SOB or my new to me Airstream!!!!
Did you get a new Airstream since the Springstream Kathy? Congratulations if you did!
BTW, we're in the same site as last year. I reserved the site a couple of months ago to make sure we got the same one. The camp ground is so nice that the snow birds fill it up in January so if you are interested you'd better start looking for a site. If you go to the thread linked about and look for the map, you can see the section we were in last year. Try to get in that section. It is posh. The other section is more typical of state parks and I don't think they have sewer hook-ups. It'd be great to have that whole section in aluminum this year...or fiberglass if your's is a Squarestream or Landyacht motorhome.
