Michelle==Sites 119,133,&143,Are available for sat & sun the 5th & 6th
Maybe you can stay at another site and move Sat. What about the pot luck site Fri?
The area that I posted is an area that is open and not that covered.If you would like an area with lots of trees and brush you can try the other area also.this is a great spot as well and might have what you need.Alot of the big Rv's park there and if you like you can sit on the pond side also.
I selected 54 even though it's 34' because it looks like there is additional parking across the street if my TV won't fit the site
Glad you're coming after all. I just looked at ReserveAmerica and the closest sites to the loop 101-168 that are available are sites 28 (40'), 40 (34'), and 54 (34'). As HIHOAGRV just mentioned, he is fitting his 29' AS on a 34' site and may park his TV across the street. A-Merry-Can said in post 556 (site 146) they are 90% probable not coming so that is another possibility. The sites in the other loop are slowly becoming more AS and that should grow in the next few weeks. Good luck.

I am going to call Topsail today and see what is really going on. I do not remember any of the sights outside the 100 loop. Maybe I will end up in Clancy Boys slot?

Howdy, this is my first post, so be gentle. My wife and I just started our search. We are currently in Saint Louis visiting with our first Grandchild.We went to the local dealer and tried on the different sizes .We even changed Sophie in the Bambi 16, boy is she cute, the Bambi I mean. I could even pull her with my 6 cyl nissan Frontier, but my daughter-in-law is dying to give us their '94 Suburban gas guzzler, and that would expand our towing possibilities. There are so many decisions to make: New or used, size, floorplan, price, options, etc. We are taking our time and trying to learn as much as possible before taking the plunge. We looked at soldiermedics 19 footer yesterday, which is now listed as sold. That was really nice and one like it may be perfect for us. It is just the 2 of us and we see ourselves just weekending so smaller may be better for us. We are leaning twards used, but fairly late model, as I have enough fixerupper projects on my plate right now (sailboat, house, etc) My wife doesn't want to set the bed up every night so we are looking at a fixed bed. Anyway, I'll get to my point. We live in Panama City, FL and soldiermedic told us about the Can opener and suggested we visit. We are seriously considering it as it could add considerably to our AS education. Are we welcome to come and drool over your beauties?
Hey flaman, I too am from Panama City. I'm a AS newbie as we recently bought a 2002 25' Classic. Our process of selection was - while I'm still working and don't plan on long trips, I didn't really want a long trailer. Also, many national and state parks are harder to get ino with long trailers. On the other hand, we wanted more living space than the Bambis have. So, the 23' to 25' range was our target. The airforums classified is an excellent source for finding a used trailer. Just be patient. Check other sources regularly like online RV websites and newspapers. Come to the Can Opener and see everyone's trailers and you'll get a better idea of what you want. Look me up, I'll be in site 156.

I will parking my TV across the road in parking lot if I can't fit it and my Argosy24 both in the site, which I doubt. The site is 34' and I have a rather long and large truck. Actually thinking about it I know I won't be able to fit both in there. The site is 34' and my truck is 19'-20' long. Oh well that'll just give the kids more room to run around and play.

No self respecting Southerner would ever eat instant. Them's fighting words. BTW - I always buy fresh mill ground grits, I even don't like store bought - but my stock is low, I'll have to check.
