Visited Topsail Today
Information on sites - my wife and I went to Topsail today to look it over - we only live 45 minutes away (Panama City) and we've never been there. First off, the place really is beautiful, it's a real resort. Secondly, for those still making reservations, the maps on Reserve America are a little misleading, to me anyway. Since the loop 101-168 is full, except odd days here and there, the natural inclination is to get sites closest to this loop. What I saw today was that sites 49 and 50 are right at the entrance to loop 101-168. 51-55 are good too just a few sites further away. I don't agree 51 and 52 are only 20' as Reserve America states, they are long enough for a good sized trailer and you can park your tow vehicle in the designated parking areas very near. I even talked to the office people about parking and parking in these other areas is fine. Sites 28, 25, and 27 are also very close to the entrance to loop 101-168. Look at the Reserve America map and you will get the correct perspective on how to view the map with the information above on site locations. The other sites Devoman mentioned earlier today are very nice, more wooded, but a little further away. Hope this helps.

hi canned openers'...
this map (part of the park handout at check in) gives a little better view...
of how close site loops are to each other...
each site is much much longer than the reserve america listings..
by about 15-20 feet each...
sites 1-20 have the least privacy and most traffic, since the main gate is right there...
the 40s, 50s and even 60s sites are very close to 'palm circle', by taking the short cut pedestrian path by the restrooms...
the 50s and 60s have good tree cover and are a tad closer together but still very nice.
they are also closer to the 'gator lake'...
there is a community dumpster RIGHT next to the overflow parking across from the pull through site #26...
also it's about time for someone to post the google earth or m/s terra views...
from the heavenly skies above.
cheers

hey u r welcome michelle
there were 4-5 a/s in that area last year (11-15) too...
they were part of a wb' unit i think and just there for a few days...
the week after the can open'r.
that little section is just off the main access in/out with it's own separate little road.
because it's one way right there, all of the regular traffic was over one row...
cheers

Potluck Addition
Reposting the list, as our contribution to the Potluck seems to have mysteriously dropped off (maybe adversity to trying wasabi??).
BTW, Luckyducks.....we also drove over to Topsail this weekend to look at the sites.....what a gorgeous campground......everyone is going to love it!
