WOW turkeys and ping pong balls and Michelle out making passes at everyone.
What gives me the impression we are in for some real fun?
The other good news is the rally will also be my retirement party. The paper work went in today. My last day at work will be Thursday the 3rd. the day we arrive for the rally. I guess I will be on leave for my last day. 38 years 6 months and 28 days are enough. I have take leave for those 28 days as the retirement is computed in 30 day increments so I would lose them. I have until the 3rd to use them and I will.
Thanks to all. I sure don't want to have a sore back trying to stir the Jambalaya.
Maybe everyone will pat easy so it won't be too sore. I'd hate to see it too sore to stir that pot of Jambalaya. It sure was good as I remember...looking forward to some more.

You have a Professional Pilot attending, the catsandi is listed as Occupation:
Firefighting Pilot/ Aircraft Mechanic
She may only want to make a pass if the party gets to hot and the trailers burst into flames. It would be fun to chip in and let her rent an aircraft and take someone up to take pictures. She may only be rated for one of those huge aircraft that drop the fire retardant then she could take the entire rally for a flight.
Jim,
It is a possibility. Cost awould be about $4 per attenedant. Even though I have a commercial pilots certificate, I cannot recieved direct compensation. FAA rules.
I would not be able to do a retardant drop yet. I fly air attack. I am trying to get into Tankers next season and the one after that and the one after that until someone hires me!
One complication. I may not be able to attend. I am job hunting and if I get a new one it wil be around the begining of the year.

Oh Michelle say it isn't so! I was really looking forward to your being at the rally. Not that I don't wish you all the success in the world for a new job but you know what I mean.

I am more tha willing to contribute, I don't think the FAA will mind if we buy you a meal or a tee shirt. Good luck with the tankers, what a career.
We could have a drawing for a door prize that all the pilots who flew over the rally taking photos were entered.
Mix them all up, and pull out a winner.
Imagine the odds.
Hope you can make it Michelle, but also wish you luck with the job search. Been there done that with the timing of a job start and vacation plans. It will all work out for the best whichever way it works out.
