one of the nicest and most interesting places i've ever dragged my 'dream stream is the "Valley Of Fire", state park in nevada (about an hour east of LV)
Valley of Fire State Park, Nevada
there's two group camps that would be perfect for the 'dream streams.
boondocking.
about 6 hours east of los angeles.
it's a 10.

Rudy's suggestions. These are not votes!
San Diego area? Usually warm and it allows our friends from way down South to join in.
Or
Along the Colorado River. Neat state parks in AZ and we can hang out with the AZ crowd.
Or
Lets go boondockin! Along the new river by Hwy 395.

rudy!
the idea of finding a spot along the new stretch of owens river along hwy 395 is a most excellent idea (62 new miles of river available).
there's also: Red Rock Canyon State Park (boondocking)

Good morning Rudy...mornin' Bob.
Valley of Fire sounds interesting.
When we are done with the fantastic natural scenery, we can drop off the 'streams at the campground and drive the 50 miles to Las Vegas for a bit of the other kind of scenery.
And perhaps a little gaming to earn some gas money for the trip home...
What do you think Thelma?

We have these trailers that are designed to travel the world. Across Africa etc.
Lets boondock!
Thats what Wally would do.
I'd love to head out to the Owens River before everyone else figures it out and it becomes an overcrowded SOB parking lot.

Boondocking is fine as long as there is a town nearby.
You never know when you may need to refuel your car
or your own tank.
