a little pre-pre-planning?? for Friday evening....

for an appetizer party and BYO favorite cool/cold weather cocktail to share small samples with the group. Drinks that come to mind include : Hot apple cider (with or without alcohol), mulled wine, baileys and ...., hot buttered rum..... you get the idea. Maybe fix a few cocktails/drinks over the holiday season and bring your favorite. Debbie ---------and need I mention LOTS of wood for fires for 3 nights!
on edit: just went into drinks mixers site--oh my, lots of ideas!!

Are you suggesting that it might be somewhat chilly in CA in January?
Hmmmm.

I do like where you're going with this. Something warm that warms the insides. I am having a lovely cup of hot spiced (non alcoholic) tea even as we speak.

And I ordered my little red campfire (fire dancer) today. Pack gloves, scarves, and of course your favorite hats. We will all be very toasty.

Practice your campfire songs and Hot Toddy Recipes...Winter Rally is less than two months away.

Toasty

Sounds like we are planning a good ol fashion "get warm" rally.....although 29 Palms will never be equaled, we are all just a bit more prepared in case a freak snow storm hits Vail Lake....

We are considering bringing a 300,000 BTU outdoor heater, do you think it would be overkill?

While I can't make Vail Lake I do have a commercial grade outdoor propane heater. Sands about seven seet tall and is chrome. Fits a five gal. Propane tank inside or a bigger one outside. You are welcome to borrow it.

We've got one too. Might not be a bad idea. We'll keep an eye on the weather reports as the time gets near. It can't really snow on us again can it? In So Cal? R

Great news Tim. Don't forget to sign up on the Rally Calendar. Same for our "Famous Couple - agents 007 and 99". Ron

Happy Turkey Day

To all of our fellow California Steamers who can't wait for January, have a safe holiday and enjoy the family gatherings (the other family, the real one).
