I got a backseat ride and saw the folks laying in the dirt. Might not talk to the porcelain god if I was on the ground.

Back for a minute to Vail Lake in Temecula. We stayed there two weeks ago and it was great. Nice sites, lots of grass areas and shade trees. Open fires are okay too. There are several camp sites and good group locations. I think the MLK weekend is a pretty good idea. All that being said, we're open to Panamint or Cachuma or pretty much anything. But then you knew that. If it's just a matter of someone putting it together, I am volunteering...Deb. Ron

Deb, or should it be Ron?

Run with it...Vail Lake works for the Cats...MLK weekend is a good idea...that way the gov't folk can take an extra day, count us in if you wanna drive it home.

Let's save Panamint Valley for the California Streamers SPRING Rally.

John (answering for the Cats just like Ron volunteered Deb, without authorization, but hey, they dig us)

You better hope they dig ya LOTS after getting volunteered without their permission. You may be on toilet cleaning duty for the next month...

I just have one question:
Is Vail Lake on or near an actual lake???
Or do I need to bring my own swimming pool (shades of Gorman)...

Vail lake

Is 2 miles away and not part of the resort. January in Temecula you will most likely NOT need a swimming pool. Vail Lake RV is about 10 miles out of Temecula. They do not have "group" areas per se..........we stayed in the Chardonnay area and liked all the grassy areas, sites are dirt, with gravel to park on. We paid $65 for the weekend nights and 55 for midweek.

What? Union thugs aren't rich? Let me count the toys, the tally should tell the tale.

You two are true champions of the rally cry! We are still in for Vail if the group concurs, we spend more than $65 getting ice cream at Baskin Robbins, not to mention how much a nice dinner cost now days.

But to be a good rally participant, we will follow the majority on the selection. If we are gonna try the MLK weekend, we better do it ASAP. I think it is a good idea to stay south for the winter rally, maybe we can pick up a few more So So Cal AS ralliers from the deep south, maybe even one of the Palm Springs/Palm Desert resorts.

Toy count? Ya gotta be kidding. Who have you ever met that could beat Ron?

Let's go to Death Valley and play tourists for the Winter Rally.

The Vail...

i'm down w/ Vail Lake...

it's a nice place. the park is used to groups and easy to get along with. i've stayed here several times with my SOB vintage groups.

i'll be in the "Oaks" loop, in sites 82 - 111, what way you can avoid me.

campground map here:

Vail Lake Village & RV Resort - CAMPGROUND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!

it would seem to be easiest if we worked out the dates here online, and everyone just makes there own reservation... but hay, what do i know?

where was i?

did you know, plant fumes can be detrimental to various brain cells, or so i've heard...

bring wood... i am...
