I believe the original target is January 10 - January 13, 2008. Is that correct kevbo? I can't remember if those dates are firm. Anybody?

John

The spot out there is the Panamint Valley West of Death Valley. No people and regular BLM rules apply. I know of a great spot at an abondoned Onyx mine. Huge cement slab that hangs over the edge. Perfect for Campfires, Margi balls and it has a killer view.
rudy,

i know that area fairly well.

where abouts, off of what hwy or road?

Will it be above freezing? Cats don't like cold, and I have two of them, and one of them feeds me, see my concern?

You can lay out in the dirt and watch the F-18's chase cars up and down the highway!

Kevin,

Take 178 East. Go left onto Nadeau Rd. and in about 1/2 mile turn left on dirt rd. Approx 2-3 miles up non 4X4 dirt road and your there.

Sounds as though you already volunteered by coming up with an excelent location. Now, before you change your mind, where is it again, kevbo wants to know, and I want to know if it will be above freezing in January?

Time past

You've been there.

My other Military air viewing spots are:

East of 29 Palms off hiway 62 is the Marine Corp Helicopters practicing straffing on cars.

North of California City in the hills you can watch the Air Force practising refueling and fighters playing.

SloWolf. If you can escape on Fri. and Go home on Mon. It'd be worth it.

Kev, When are you free? I'm always ready for the desert.

Nice try! I'm still hearing about your cat (the four legged one) crying in Cadiz. I know Cat (The one that feeds you) is still upset about that.

Not to mention why Uwe gets real quiet whenever Cadiz comes up.
