It can be confusing...may be this can help refresh our memories...

First, put down the margi...or any alcoholic beverages...

Then, here's the equation.

Kernville + Nov + Cowboy Western = Fall Rally
Jalama? + Jan + Theme TBD = Winter Rally
San Clemente + Feb + Surf & Turf = notreallyarallyrally
Where? + When? + What? = Summer Rally

my fellow fanatic ralliers, hope this help!!!

(for those lucky bunch who signed up early, here's another one:
Bolsa Chica + Oct + intimate affair = Huh?? is this a rally?)

=^^= thelma, aka, TT Ghost Writer, aka cat

Thanks Cat. I think I got it now. We're in for all of that and the Balloon Rally too. It's looking like a good year ahead.

I see the problem clearly now.

We don't Rally enough.

Lets go boondocking in October!

Ditto to that...only a month to go for the Balloon caravan/rally...

Mr. Rudy...aren't you coming for at least the first leg of the caravan and Bolsa Chica?
WE still get time to boondock between the two?

We tried to work Kernville in but the timing doesn't work. We've been to Jalama and it is a great place. It's windy but beautiful. Some of the trains going by are almost quiet.

We'll love to meet you at Jalama. Have you checked out "notreallyarallyrally" in Feb 08 at San Clemente yet? There's stilll spot open on ReserveAmerica, if you don't mind boondock, #86 is right within our group and a few stumbles from party central...
There's also full hookup on the other side, which #21-26 are booked from our other fanatics.

Fellow ralliers...

I am making my way home from the desert in my newly modified Airstream. I should be back in playing form within a few days.

I did speak to Karl (at least I thought it was Karl but it was hard to say as he was only wearing a gas mask). He sends his regards.

Now where am I again?

Oh yes...Balloon Rally followed by a rally and then a rally and then another rally....

P.S. That was NOT me. Just sayin'...

I originated that fashion statement and now even Karl is doing it!

I bet someone stole my speedos or G string and Cowboy hat look too.

We'll just be getting back from the Balloon Rally a couple of days before that, but okay, where do you want to go?

Close and easy is the least used State park (No hookups or dump) in the system. North of Lake L.A. near the border to edwards AFB or out near California City.

Jalama Beach Info...

ok, as of sept 07, 2007 @ 2:35pm;

just got off the phone w/ susan at SB County Parks,

the website is out of date.

Jalama only takes reservations for two group areas...

area C - 8 sites
area D - 8 sites

each auto and each trailer = 2 sites
a motorhome = 2 sites

thus area C or D actually, for our purpose = 4 sites each.

each caller is allowed only to make one reservation. period, meaning you can't call back and make another for the only other group area.

given this info, and further given the fact that the weekend of jan 10th - jan 13th was booked by someone else....

heres what i'm doing:

a) i'm going to go somewhere else thats not so hard to get into, like LAKE CACHUMA

and

b) i'm not organizing the winter rally from this point forward

cheers,

kevin

Kev,

Thanks for all the extra effort, you have gone past the duties of the official greeter, although as true carney, we understand you need to keep moving.

Maybe we should throw it back to Gointo find our winter grazing site, I still have that extra heater.

Time

Resting up

I have just about recovered from my last trip...

and now I need to start cleaning and packing for the Balloon Rally so I say let's make it easy.

If we can do 29 Palms, we can go anywhere.
Have heater, will travel.

After all the grief I got for 29 Palms & Gorman? I'm not saying it wasn't deserved. I'm just saying.

Any interest in Temecula? We stayed at Vail Lake Resort (Vail Lake Village & RV Resort - CAMPGROUND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!) on our maiden voyage in winter, very nice. Temecula is wine country and Perchanga casino has entertainment.
