[quote=Goin camping]Cody,

Well you got a 440 wedge up against a 454 with many mods. I gotta say Str8stream has hotrodded his MoHo. After a rough guess on the power to wieght ratio.

I'd say it'll be measured in furlongs per fortnight.

Hi Goin,

Furlong???? Looks like someone will be left in the dust!

What are your thoughts Time?
Goin,

This aint no tank endurance race, we had better keep it to a 1/2 mile oval track run to give str8strm a chance since he has the better handling rig (hell, its an Airstream) But with out the corners, I think the Silver Streak with the Mopar 440 "Wedge" motor is gonna chew up the "pretty boy" 345. Now of course if we put Deb behind the wheel of the Airstream it may be a different story, she has been known to throw in an obstacle en route.

Thats all from our color man Time.

No way Debbie should be the driver. She's not a clean racer. I mean I hate to say this but I saw her get up underneath a Mandalay and break it loose and put it into a wall. She drives like Dale Sr.

I wonder who will flame me the worst. Ron, Debbie or a Dale Sr. fan. All I ask is give me a sec to put on my Nomex britches.

After all the Moho races...

and the appropriate intermission (aka The M-Ball Hour),

will it be time for the Trailer Tow 500?

I've got one speedy little TT...

(visions of Airstreams racing around the RV park circle with the manager in hot pursuit)

Great idea Bam.....is there anyone out there with a Porsche Turbo Cayenne and an original Bambi that wants to attend the rally in order to qualify for the TT race? Imagine the horror..all that horsepower pulling a stripped Bambi.

Cool...ehh..cool.

re post #253

Big thanks to Tim. I went through Lodi, Ca. about 4:00am and Tim met me at "The Hanger" with a supreme Latee.

"The Hanger" is an unmarked building at an out of the way private airport. The only indication that it's really a Gov. installation were the black helicopters.

I of course can't tell you all that I saw there. I had to sign some papers an unsmiling man in a black suit gave me.

I think I can tell you about the stealth spy planes. DG had one at the last Norcal but its been modified since then. There was a DG's personal hovercraft undergoing aerodynamic improvement. (I want that!)

Remember James Bonds Jet pack? If you have one throw it in the trash. They have better stuff in Lodi.

It was great to see you Tim. Thanks for getting up at that ungodly hour and for being such a gracious host to this tired traveler.

It's about time

I sit around here for 3 weeks, being Debbie's man-servant after her surgery, and this thread doesn't generate much talk. I go off to work for a couple of days and come back to find we got a race goin'. I like it! Of course, we've got about 8 more feet of iron to move. I'm thinkin' I may need a little head start, and we may have to bring out AS number 2. It's the one with the motor mods. Oh well, maybe we should just bench race aroung the old M-ball. There are no losers there. Ron

I was thinking we could put some lead weights on the Siver Streak to even out the weight difference.....then again, I was also thinking about hookin up a yellow diesel truck to the AS for a little "launch" sequence to give you a bit of a, as you called it, a head start.

We were calling in some favors at Goodyear, so there is a good chance we will have aerial coverage from the Blimp, just in case the MoHo's break out of the RV Park in a desperate attempt to "one up" each other on Interstate 5.

Just so there is no accusations of cheating, an NHRA official will be on hand to qualify the winner, the only thing is that I promised Uncle Freddy he could eat for free since he would be officiating, I hope that is OK with everybody.

*GASP!*

Do you care to identify the participants?
Are those people we know
or our SOB neighbors?
Race referees?
Margi-ball moochers?
TIME's relatives???

Hi str8s...hope Deb is feeling A+ and the surgery wasn't anything serious.

We need her up and around for the Margi-ball hosting and checkered flag waving. Not to mention leading the hounds in the Doggie Fashion Show Parade. Things to do!

Practice bending that elbow Debbie.
All the best...

No way...not enough body hair to be related to Time, not to mention that Time's family pictures are all black and white.

I believe the one on the far left may be Safari-Ricks long lost Uncle Bud, at least that was the rumor at the tanning salon.
