Hi,
Just wondering about the Oceana place - haven't heard about it. Is there a link? Just tried a quick search and didn't find it.
3rd or last weekend in July works for us - it would be our first Airstream rally. Need to check available/remaining vacation days at work though.
Lake Cachuma sounds interesting as well.

We really want to meet everyone, and go to our first rally, but will be on the road from June 18 - Mid-August. Please let us know of any fall gatherings.

Regarding OceanMesa this place is way to spendy for my taste:
Rates:
April - Nov. : $85.00-RV Site, $45.00-Tent Site
Dec. - March : $65.00-RV Site, $35.00-Tent Site

No Kidding.. I was thinking breakfest in bed...
Re: Lake Cachuma, I have been there. It's a nice place. I do believe it's first come first serve only. In the past though I have had no problems getting tents site. I don't now about RV sites. But it is close to every thing...

Hi everybody, Right now we are checking into mountain spots. Keep tossing out suggestions and we'll follow em up.
P.S. Awaiting a call back for a spot along the Coast in Ventura. I'll let you know.
Oddly all the desert RV parks have lots of room in July. I wonder why?

Hi Everyone: Sherry and I (Robert) are going to Ventura RV Resort
Venturabeach-rvresort
June 22, 23, and 24 and leaving on the 25th. If someone wants to give them a call it is a good park, close to the water (across the street). We drive through the park on the way to Morro Bay a few months ago. I will say it would do fine for a rally.
On the dates above we have a group of 10 rigs (not Streamers, another club) going and we did not have too much of a problem, but we booked it a few months ago.
We are heading from Ventura up the Calif coast into Oregon, maybe Wash, and then back down, and will be back toward Ventura on our way to Seal Beach around the third weekend in July. We would love to stop by and say hi, or even stay a night if there is room.
If you pick another place maybe we will go wherever you go....
Sounds fun.
Robert and Sherry

How about Tahoe Valley Campground in South Lake Tahoe? The place is pretty large and welcomes groups. Pool, shuttle to the casino action, a mile or two to lake. Dog friendly, lots of trees. Check it out.

Lake Cachuma is still an option. It is a county park and first come first serve. There are tons of campsites. And a lake.

Cachuma sounds good. It's kind of in the middle for alot of us.

Hey Sparky, try this link for a fall gathering... http://www.airforums.com/forums/f288...nio-32785.html
As far as this thread goes, Laguna Seca Raceway on Hwy 68 between Salinas and Monterey may work if not too far north for some. Easy access to Carmel/Monterey and outlet shopping in Salinas. They have a race going on the weekend of July 21 so that would be out of the question. I've never stayed there but it looks like they have a nice campground with water and electric hookups and a dump station. They are willing to accept cRV clubs too. Here's a link... Laguna Seca
I'm going to SF for the Giants/Doggers game the weekend of the 14 so can't do anything that weekend.
By the way TIME, I love the name California Streamers

I suppose we're in...
I'm OK with weekend #3 in July, or maybe #2...
Happy anywhere from Ventura to Pismo on coast, or Lake Tahoe, or Sierra foothills... No desert's or Wal-Mart's for us..
"Campground By the Lake" in Tahoe doesn't offer full hookups, but does have 157 spaces, many with electricity, and is the one at the lake shore off Hwy 50.. See: lake tahoe camping, South Lake Tahoe Campground by the Lake 1150 Rufus Allen Blvd Tahoe Valley Campground and KOA at South Lake Tahoe are south of the "Y" (intersection of Hwy 50 and 89..) closer to airport..
