You can never get reservation on weekend, unless you tried to get online the first minute the spot become available 6 months prior to your reservation.

It was in the mid of the week, we went there for a couple of days, and avoided the weekend crowd.

Will love to keep you posted, if we go there again next time.

Are you interested in this rally at Pyramid Lake? Will love to meet you there too...

Please do, we can be there in less than an hour! I thought we were the only mid-week campers, this is good news. Any interest in Temecula wine country? Stayed at Vail Lake Resort, nice place, and then there's the wine!

Unhappy

Unfortunately we can't make it. We're doing our really big trip to MN via Yellowstone, Mt. Rushmore, etc. (Have you seen Lucy's Great Excursion?)
We will be coming home right about Rally time, but from a different direction. Bummer, it sounds like it's going to be fun.

We'll miss you at the rally.

Oh, boy, that's goin' to be a great trip. John and I went to Yellowstone and Mt. Rushmore on our way back from our cross-country Maiden Voyage last year...and it was memorable. I am sure you'll have lots of fun. You can tell stories and show us pictures of your trip at the next rally.

Vail Lake

For those of you wanting to go to Vail Lake I've got a secret for you. Monica and I just got back from spending 3 days there. It only took six months to get the best spot in the park. We called in January and asked when the next time spot 71 is open. We included a weekend however I'm sure the wait is much shorter during the week. The spot provides a view of Vail Lake , you are at the top of the park, shade trees and the largest spot in the park. Nobody behind or on the street side. The tables and chairs are a spot up from the rest. Will post pics next week.

Hi Kip,
You and Monica always know the best spots. Is Vail Lake the one near Temecula?

The worst thing for me is waiting for a Rally. It's worse than Than the rally is over. At least after a rally you are remembering the fun you had and the people you had it with.

I said that to say this. I can't wait to get to Pyramid Lake. Str8stream and Condoluminum will have brought M-balls. The potluck will have fed an army, miniture golf goofyness. Lotsa laughter and plans being made for the Balloon fest and the Norcal Rally.

Bring your trunks they have a very nice pool.
