Yes it is, that's our other Fresno couple in front of you, John & Cara.
Just take it nice and slow, there's good turn outs. And it's only 14 miles.

So jealous of everyone already up there and everyone who is leaving. Sitting in meetings right now, wishing I was leaving from LA earlier than tomorrow at 2pm.

Luna Launched...

My dog Luna stays at my parent's house during the day while I'm at work. She is part of their dog's pack during the day. The dogs know when mom and dad start loading up the truck that the truck is going to the storage facility where the silver tent (the Airstream) lives. Trips are highly anticpated by our dogs because it means sleeping on the couch at night and eating treats on the way to their destination.

As gear is loaded into the truck, Dolly, the littlest dog, positions herself by the backdoor leading to the garage, as if she is afraid of being left behind. The other dogs sit by the dog gate watching everything pass by them in anticipation of being loaded into the truck. Eventually, the anticipation is too much for them and they have to be loaded into the truck. Too much whimpering and barking. They want to make sure the silver tent takes off with them along.

The last few times Luna has been left behind because there isn't room in the truck for her crate too. I have taken her up separately after work in my car. Oh boy, when I arrive after the truck and everyone else has left her behind, does she let out a series of jumps and whimpers and mumblings. She has a lot to say about the silver tent leaving without her. She totally rats out my parents for packing up every other dog but her and she is certain there were pieces of hamburger on that road trip that belong to her and are going to be eaten by Pearl because she isn't there.

As soon as we arrive at the campground and she sees the silver tent Luna starts her excited whines and bouncing around in circles. I open the car door. Luna is out of it like a shot. She runs to the door of the silver tent. You can hear her barking, "We found you! We caught up!" The rest of the dog pack is barking greetings on the other side of the riveted silver door. When the door opens Luna leaps over the steps to much jubilation, wiggling and bouncing. She exclaims "We found you! We are here!" and the other dogs greet their missing member.

Lucky for Luna this time my parents have found a way for her not to be left behind waiting for mommy to get off work and bring her along. Luna will ride in the truck with the other dogs and see you guys tonight. They should be at the storage tent hooking up the silver tent right now. It only is a few hours from their house to Kernville. Luna's mommy will join them tomorrow afternoon after work.

I'm stuck at work until 2:40 p.m. tomorrow afternoon too. You're not alone. I looked at a photo of the Mod Pod pulling the grade up to Kernville with envy and anticipation.

I also have class in Bakersfield this evening, so I have to drive from Palmdale to Bakersfield and back. Go to work tomorrow and then, leave tomorrow afternoon to meet up with my parents and the dogs.

What a great rally!

By my count, we had 32 Airstreams, 1 Avion, and four guest RV's.
Quite an improvement over last year.

The pumpkin contest was off the hook, we have some serious over achievers in our group just sayin

Thanks to everyone for coming. Hope you all had a great time.
See everyone next year!

We are still on a Rivernook high! A big THANK YOU to Kevin + Lianne who did an outstanding job in bringing this stellar event together. You two rock!

The great people, fabulous food, sunny weather, time to chat up trailers…Life IS good!

Jim and I enjoyed meeting everyone and their dawgs. Our apologies to anyone's camp disturbed by our runaways early Sunday morning. Lil Nomad, thanks for catching Boonedocker, my #1 Hoolie.

Until we meet again, keep the shiny side up!

Cris and Kimmy here just pulled in the driveway after a week of camping. Rivernook was definitely the high point for the trip. Loved seeing all the great trailers, learned a lot and a big thanks to Lianne and Kevin for sponsoring this great event. Cris

Come to find out, January is a great time to visit Rivernook. Just look at all these empty river front sites! There are only 6 RVs here in the whole park.

That's how the Pinnacles campground use to be for us before it became a national park!

Hey guys, thanks again for such an amazing 2014 rally. The turnout was beyond my expectations! I can only hope that everyone had as good as time as me.
I've just posted the thread for 2015. I know many of you have already booked. If you haven't you, should. Please take a moment, and RSVP.
