OK, I need to get a site because I just confirmed with the girlfriend that we are coming! Woot! Are dogs allowed? Which sites are best, the premium pull throughs or the creek sides? Also, do they have full hook ups? Thanks!!!

Yay! Yes on the dog, and I'd get a premium pull through (full hookups).

I noticed someone said you need a special adapter for the sewer. Can anyone give an update on the size so that we don't pay for the full and not get to use it...?

Also, which has better sites? pull through or creek side?

Finally, is there any food specifically wanted or needed?

The only time you "may" need an adaptor is if you stay in the old spaces up by the office. Which we did one year, and it was not an issue because they had the adaptors up at the office. You won't have any problems in the premium pull throughs. The rest of the park has a standard size hose fitting. No worries.
The pull though sites are huge! Shady, and super easy to get into. The creek side sites are just a little tighter, they are back into sites, and you would also need to use to dump station before you leave. So what ever your preference. If we can't get a riverfront, we usually book at pull through.
We will be having the Friday night Meet and Greet, and also the Saturday night potluck at our site in the pull thoughs FYI.

When we were here last year at the pull thru's you needed the adapter to hook up. The office usually have a few adapters to loan out, but they didn't have any left when we got there. We wound up dumping on our way out at the community dump station, BTW the dumpsite has the standard hookup connector. Not a big hassle, we had a great time and made some very nice new friends.

I am not having any luck getting in touch with the campground. Anyone else have this same issue?

Hmm, I haven't had any trouble lately. Although in years past it's been an issue. I just called, dialed extension 301, and Damian answered but he put me on hold. So he's there, I would just try again.

And as far as the potluck is concerned, it's really up to you. We certainly aren't picky

I am having the same problem Crabbey, I was not able to reach anyone at Rivernook. I called twice yesterday and left my contact info on a voice message the second time. We will see if they call back.

By the way....Hello everyone, my name is Andy and I am planning to join Kernville7 (if they take my reservation). My wife (Katie) and we are brand new to sleeping off the ground in a camper and this will be our maiden voyage in our 79 Argosy 20.
So I look forward to meeting you and having you show me how to get my awning out....just kidding....a little.

Andy

Very cool! Is it a Minuet? My girlfriend thinks they are great. This is only our 2nd trip in our Argosy (or any camper) as well. It will be great to check out another Argosy! See you there and if you do get in touch, let him know that there are others looking to book. I left my info as well.

Chris

Chris and whoever else that may want to book, they will not return your call from the message you left. I called back today a made my reservation and he was unaware of any messages left for reservations. So good luck.
And yes it is a minuet 20. It is white with blue trim. It is ready to camp but needs some things of course. We will be in 451, come by and see us.

Hi all. Sherry and I are leaving for Kern River first thing tomorrow. I should have caught all the necessary trout by the time you all arrive . The movie "The River Why" is a must watch fly fishing/bait fishing movie about a young angler living in the Pacific Northwest. I have it on Blue Ray so can only watch it at home. If anyone decides to rent it and bring it to the river, I assure you it is peaceful and genuine, "just like a river flows".

See everyone soon. Robert and Sherry

Andy! So glad you didn't give up. Looking forward to meeting you. Hope Crabbey got through today. It's a small operation up there, and if they are out taking care of things in the campground then there isn't anyone in the office to answer the phones.

We'll plan an awning class at some point, those buggers can be tricky.

Hey y'all! The AS comes home today for our usual pre-trip scramble to repair this and that. We discovered at the high sierra boondock rally that we had a propane leak so we had no heat or hot water. We also found our kitchen faucet was leaking heavily under the counter but, as luck would have it, our dish washing tub was stored below and caught all the water! So these two items will get attention today.
We're really looking forward to seeing you all again! We'll be coming in Thursday evening, hopefully before dark.
Suzzeee, I had a Airstream dream last night and you were in it! We were all having a grand time. So glad to know the dream will be a reality in a few short days!
Lianne, just curious, what's the trailer count so far?

BTW, anyone interested in doing a little antiquing?
