California Silver Sisters Morro Bay Rally
Time for the Sisters to Rally!
Morro Bay State Park
March 29th - April 1 2012
Gonna try and get everyone reserved in the Hookup spaces, 35 foot pull throughs. (I'm parking challanged so that works for me )
But there are plenty of Standard sites too just a short walk away.
Casual group, come early or stay later it's up to you.
Pot luck on Saturday night.
Contact the park to make reservations.
Campground Details - MORRO BAY SP, CA - ReserveAmerica - [CA]
Hope to see you there!

Yea! Looking forward to seeing you Laurel, and Virginia!
They are going fast, looks like there are only 2 Hookup sites left, this morning there were 10! Once those are gone there are still the Standard sites (lots of them) but they are first come first serve.

What spaces are people booking? ReserveAmerica's site is down for maintenance, so I thought I'd check in with you before booking.

Never mind. The site is back up and the small print says sites are non-specific, first come first served. I'll be getting there Friday night, so I'll hope for the best.
I'm looking forward to seeing and meeting old and new friends and enjoying gorgeous Morro Bay!

Silver Tiny But Mighty
Dear Silver Sisters,
I have long since been without my 57 18 Footer Airstream, and now camp around in a home built aircraft aluminum teardrop trailer. Sadly, I have heard that Airstreamers are kind of exclusionary and perhaps I would not be welcome to participate. Is this true? I would love to come to Morro Bay in March.

We're not those types of girls Anne Marie. Think I can speak for all and say you'd be more than welcome!

Anne Marie -
Last I checked, there were hookup sites (the only reservable sites) available for Friday, but not Saturday. If you get one for Friday, you'd be on site for your pick of the first-come-first-served sites available Saturday morning.

Oh Anne Marie, you are more than welcome to join us! An Airstream is not a requirement, it's just a shared interest. Really, we're just a bunch of women who love to camp and eat and drink and talk and joke.
We also like to share and exchange old treasures. I often bring all the paperbacks that I read over the year to give away to my silver sisters Some give coffee cups or calendars. Meredith has compiled cd's of traveling tunes. One year, someone was going to teach us how to knit- but unfortunately, she had to drop out. I still have the needles in my trailer, just in case!
It's all just a d*mn good time! Join us.

I'll teach anyone how to knit if you bring some yarn and needles. I'll have my spinning wheel and my own knitting because holding still isn't one of my strengths.
I've booked Sunday and Monday nights at Kirk Creek campground up the coast. Bart (DH) will be joining be there by motorcycle for those two nights. Anyone who wants to extend the weekend is welcome to join us. I've never been to Kirk Creek, but it comes highly recommended by other Airstreamers.

Yes, yes...everyone is welcome. Just come and grab a spot.
None of them will be too far.
Looking forward to seeing old friends and the new ones I haven't met yet.
Hey Martha, did you get a spot? And c'mon down K! I'll make ya a Mint Julep.
These sistahs do know how to cook and cocktail.

Anne Marie, I agree with everyone too. We sisters have to stick together otherwise we fall apart! Campin' with the girls is what it's all about. Talkin', laughin', sharin' and just havin' a fun time. So we'll see ya at Morro Bay! WOO-HOO!! Can't wait!

Just a reminder ladies, the park still has 9 Hook up spaces available (plus 1 handicap space) for Thursday and Friday nights. Making a reservation for those two nights will be a great way to make sure that you're in the park, and if you do have to move for Saturday night I'm sure you'll get lots of help
It's a big park with lot's of Standard sites that are first come first serve for any last minute additions.
This campground is easy to get to, with a good layout that should make parking and setting up easy.
Looks like we're gonna have a great turn out! Can't wait
