I can't make it this year.
Have a great time and I will hope for better timing (I have to be PDX bound that weekend) and for more $$ in the fuel-fund, so that I can come next year!!!

Our rally is right around the corner ladies, are ya ready? I know I am

Yay! I'll buy you a green beer at Pismo Brewing Co Saturday
Looky at the pictures in the email I got from Airstream today, they look familiar. Isn't that Skipper the wonder dog in front of Laurel's old trailer? I'm gonna miss Alison this year, her pictures are so good.

Aw ladies I'm really gonna miss this rally!
Yep, that's my old Bambi on the right at our rally at Lake San Antonio.
Love, love Allison's photos.
I'm leaving this week for Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Singapore.
Be back in April.
Have BIG fun! I'll be thinking about you and see you all sometime soon.
Cheers!

Have a great time Laurel! You, your beautiful trailer, and your abundant bar supplies will be sorely missed. I hope to see you at a Rally later this year.
I would like to go ahead see if the Sisters are ready and get another rally scheduled for later this year, I hate that it was so hard for everyone to get reservations in Morro Bay. Next one needs to be somewhere easier to book. I would actually love to visit Lake San Antonio again. We'll see.

Hi Silver Sisters! I just found your thread!! Your group sounds like just what I need! I am a recent widow - but, didn't want my life to also end so soon. So ... I just bought an Airstream Flying Cloud - 19'. I am anxious to learn the ropes of hooking it up, backing it up, and hitting the road. My son-in-law is in the process of teaching me the tricks - then I will be ready to go! I see you have a gathering planned for Morro Bay in a few weeks. Sounds like loads of fun! Will you have another get together soon after that? I would love to join you sometime. I love girl gatherings - I have many groups I belong to here in my hometown - but, sadly no one has an RV to join me on my upcoming adventures.

Boy, this get-together sure sounds like fun! I sure wish I was going! Will be heading to Oregon with husband and friends that same weekend.
Pennylynne, I'm so sorry for your loss. Kudos to you for seeking out a new adventure!

Pennylynne we would love for you to join us! I'm still learning the ropes myself (I'm a great passenger though).
The reservable spots are full, but the park has about 100 first come first serve sites if you are up to it this time. If not The Sisters try to rally twice a year, usually once in spring and once in the fall. This is actually only my second Sister's rally.
There are also lots of Forum rallies that are loads of fun. Airstreamers are a very welcoming group, and are full of helpful information. There is a big rally at Casini Ranch next month, and another at Jackson Rancheria in October that look to be fairly close to you. My husband and myself will be at both of these rallies and it would be our pleasure to be your Rally Buddies
Good luck with your trailer skills, hope to see you soon.
Lianne

Sorry for your loss. Congrats on your new adventure and taking control of your future! I didn't know many rv'ing people when I bought mine 10 years ago but now Airstream people are my closest friends and some I condsider family whether they like it or not Just traveling around you will meet some amazing people but for sure find an Airstream group with people you enjoy and click with. If you're ever in Arizona I belong to the 4CU (4 Corner's Unit) we have rallies usually once or every other month in the not too hot seasons, fantastic people, great fun and lots of laughs.
Best of luck to you~ See you down the road!

My two cents: Pay attention to other drivers but don't worry about you being in their way, they will go around you! If you're on an interstate I find staying in the middle lane whenever possible is a good thing. People don't seem to have learned the art of merging on to the freeway which makes me crazy. Don't let your nerves get the best of you stay calm and enjoy the ride. I always feel so damn proud of my trailer and the freedom of the road I am usually towing with a silly ass grin on my mug.
Good road tunes help!

Thank you "Silver Sisters" for your support and kind words. I am afraid I am not ready just yet for the trip to Morro Bay. It's still raining this week - so my first lesson with my son-in-law has to wait until the sun comes out again. I will think about those rallies coming up. I am very anxious to get on the road and meet you girls (and guys) soon.
Thanks: Pennylynne

For potluck and other various happy hour yums I will be making Mexican style shrimp cocktails with fresh avacado from Mere's trees if there are any left after my last scavange, deviled eggs and per request wrapped weinies.

I just realized that I've been neglecting this thread over here. (Too much time on Facebook.)
Looking forward to to our trip in, YIKES, 8 days or so? Yippeee! I need some Silver Sister time. Gotta alotta s**t going on at home and need some "me time" and advice from my sisters.
Can't wait!
Potluck? This may call for a new special silver sister martini recipe.
Don't forget your firewood - the coast can be chilly at this time of year. (Really, any time of year.)
Virginia
PS Meredith, I'll go kayaking with you!!

I've got a truck full of firewood. Gonna bring some of my favorite cocktails, you are encouraged to do the same. I'm thinking of something kinda simple for the potluck like chili or BBQ. Gotta think about that some more.
I'm ready to party with my sisters though, that's for sure!
