I'm in as long as it's not March 20-22 - we've already got reservations at San Clemente that weekend.
Pismo would be great and I'd love to bring one or both of my daughters.
Virginia < - - - working on new martini recipes!

Meridith,
Thanks for getting this going. I would love to come but that is going to depend on the job situation. I started one September 8th and quit the following Friday. It was a job I had hoped to retire from. The environment was not good. I applied for another state job and got a responce yesterday that they had recieved it. Step one. Now will I get and interview. So I am looking for the right job. I have some contacts I am pursuing but not much it happening.

March 13 - 15?
Yipee, three girls, we have a rally!
The weekend of March 13 - 15 sounds great to me! Daylight savings time will have just started...and then there's St. Patrick's Day just around the corner. That's always a great reason to celebrate, right? Green beer, anyone? Aw heck, forget the beer, let's make green margaritas!
Ok, where's Miss Bamcamper, k r i s t i a n a, Michelle, Kat, and all our other silver belles?

Ok, Michelle, we will keep our fingers crossed that your new, new employer will give you some time off so you can drag that shiny trailer to Pismo in March.
Hope you are doing well. Haven't talked to you in a long time.

Where in Pismo are we going?
Who is going to make reservations?
How did this all get arranged last time?
What shall I wear?
(This last question is facetious.)

Oh, I am just giddy that the silver girls are rallying again!
So, Virginia, to answer your questions...

How about Pismo Coast Village? I've never camped there before, but the NorCal Oct. 2005 rally was held there and after reading the thread from that rally, it sounds pretty cool!

After we hear from a few more MIA silver gals, we'll "ink" the date and location, and then we will all make our own reservations at the campground.

Can't remember if we had a head rally honcho last March, but I know it was pretty casually arranged.

Hmmm, maybe we should publish a SilverGirl's Rally dress code? To start, it could include...
- your finest footie pajamas
- a feather boa
- cowboy hat
- silver stilettos
Am I forgetting anything?
(this answer was totally serious )
I'll PM Miss BamCamper to see if she has any thoughts on the Pismo area campground selections.

The only thing I know about Pismo beach is that is where Bugs Bunny kept trying to go.

Helllloooo Sistahs!
I was out of the country and just got back last night.
March seems pretty open so far though I am still trying to figure out
where I am and what day it is.
Pismo Coast Village RV Resort is a large private campground that should have room for all. It's very nice but kind of a parking lot type of campground...but it is just steps from the beach. We could probably all call and make our own reservations. Check out their web site and see what you think.
There are two state campgrounds next to Pismo Coast Village but they are smaller and harder to reserve for a group.
Thanks for organizing Meredith. Can't wait to see you all!
Love,
Laurel & Wanda
P.S. Virginia: You and I will find something to wear...

Hoping to join you
Hello ladies, we hope to have our trailer finished by that time but as it would be my first solo tow in our new baby, I am unsure about making it to Pismo Beach......I will ponder it as I would love to join you all. paula

Paula,
It's an easy drive up the coast to Pismo. Plan on coming. When we get closer to the date, just give the crowd a holler, and I'm sure any number of us would be happy to meet up with you and caravan together our destination. This way you wouldn't be towing solo, now would you?
There's fun and safety in numbers.
Virginia
PS Ask Uwe to give you towing lessons when you pick your baby up. Experience and knowledge breeds confidence.

a sista caravan...good idea!
Welcome back, Laurel! I was wondering why you were being so shy... Hope your trip was wandaful!
Oh, I love, love, LOVE the caravan idea. Pismo would be my farthest solo tow also, so being wedged in between some sistah silver for the drive sounds good to me .
I think Pismo Coast Village might work for our group. The sites are a bit close together and there IS a lot of pavement, but that could work in our favor after happy hour at Kristiana's trailer. Ha ha.

Hi Paula!
How's our super-grandma doing? I'm looking forward to camping with you again, so I'm crossing my fingers that your trailer is ready. Don't stress out about driving solo. We just want you with us, no matter how you have to get to the rally! I had Jack follow me in his car and help me get settled into my campsite on my first solo. And, even though I hitched up and drove to my second rally by myself, he drove up on the last day to spot me while I hitched up and drove home. Baby steps, that's my motto. Whatever it takes to get you there!
Cheers,

No doubt in my mind that Paula can pull this off...And welcome back to the country, Bam Wanderer! Please bring all photos and stories for us vicarious traveler types. I can't wait to see you all again. Meredith, thanks for getting this going. I'm signing up for any options, but that weekend works well for me and my cheerleader (daughter) belles. I can't believe I'm actually borrowing a Kristiana pendant and and A/S t-shirt from my girls for the Jackson NorCal Rally. Nothing like passing on the love of tubular aluminum...
Happy trails to all.

Just an FYI...
I checked the Pismo Coast Village RV site and the rates are $42 per night
with a 2 night minimum on the weekends. Does that work?
We could probably get a block of pull through sites if we reserve early enough.
Do we have dates yet?

Our proposed dates were March 13-15. According to the map that I have of Pismo Coast Village, it looks like there are only 2 pull-throughs (#s 38 and 39). (Unless I'm reading it wrong.) It would be great if we could get reservations at that end of the park - the sites are more spacious and beach access is easier. I've also stayed in the other end - the 300's - it's crowded and you've got to be pretty tolerant of your neighbors' habits - and like whatever they are watching on TV.

'The Child' and I will definitely attend...!
Hey Sista's! I'm looking forward to bringing my new/old '63 Globetrotter to this rally! I know that the Good Doctor Sandra Beddor is planning on coming as well...even tho she'll be aluminum 'tent' camping in her 'Buddha Girl'!
So does anyone have the info on how to make the reservations, telephone number maybe someone in the office who can help keep us all together?
Debra and Dana (now seriously shopping for the proper attire!)
