Get out your bankcard!

Hey Girls,

I called Pismo Coast Village to pay up yesterday, which was fine, once they figured out what group I was with. Be sure you mention JANET BYERS. (Airstream, Silver, Sisters, Women, Girls, Forums, and Rally meant nothing to her).

They called me back today to mention that several of our sisters haven't paid on the reservations yet - specifically, Martha, Lisa and Debra. I said I would pass the word on. Consider it passed. They'd like to hear from you by tomorrow. (And anyone else who wants to join in.)

Pismo Coast Village RV Resort-- 888-7823224.
Pismo Coast Village RV Resort

Thanks,
Virginia !!!!!

Silver Sisters Jackets-How cool!

As usual, I am obsessing about silver. And, I'm so excited about our upcoming rally too. So that got me thinking about a conversation some of us had at last year's rally about making matching satin jackets for the sistas! We were talking about the old fashioned kind of jacket from the 50's, with a name stiched on it and a big patch on the back, and how fun it would be if we all had one for our next rally....

Well, I did some checking around and found a really neat embroidery company in Mo. They carry the satin jackets (pink satin jackets with black piping, or plain black satin jackets) and they specialize in the really neat old fashioned embroidery - which they do on vintage embroidery machines. How cool?!

I emailed them a sketch of a Silver Sisters logo that I designed and asked them for a quote to put it on the back of a satin jacket, along with chain stitching with the words "Silver Sisters" on the front. It would cost about $60 - 65.00 per jacket, depending on how many jackets we ordered.

I need an order of about 20 jackets to make it worth their while. The order would take about 2 weeks to complete, so if we were going to do this, I would need to place the order no later that February 10th or so.

Attaching pics of the two jacket choices, and a couple samples of their work. Anyone interested?
You could count me in for two...one for me and one for Dana!

Signed up Silver Sisters:
1. Airdrmr (Meredith)
2. Kristiana
3. Babeebloos (Debra)
4. Towster (Virginia)
5. Lukira (Lisa)
6. JuliannaJ (Jules)
7. Chapparal (Martha)
8. Janetb

Oops, forgot to post a reminder...I'll PM Martha and Lisa to make sure they get a call in ASAP. And if anyone else wants to join, be sure to use my full name as a reference. That's the only way they can identify the group.
And don't forget to go to the rally calendar and sign up on the rsvp page.

See post#62 for details, etc.

Thanks for the heads-up Virginia!

Silver Sisters Logos

Hiya Girls,

We're gettin' closer to our fun, fun, fun weekend! Time to start talking about some fun stuff to do. How about a pajama parade on bikes around the RV resort? Or maybe we could roast a pig in the sand, hire some hot fire dancers, and host a limbo tournament? Just some ideas...

Here are the Silver Sisters logos I came up with. They are a bit rough around the edges, but you can get the idea. They would look cute on a t-shirt or jacket, huh? Bandana? We could wear them like the Survivor buffs...hee hee hee.

I'm going to get my silver polish out this weekend and start prettying up my old lady for the rally! Only 5 weeks to go....

Cheers,

Meredith, you are so talented! I love both, especially the first.
Also the pajama/bike parade sounds like much fun. Don't you think Bamcamper should step up here as a founding sister? The two of you always come up with some creative diversions...and of course Babeebloos is no slouch, and Towster is pure martini awesomeness...Anyone else have some fun suggestions?
I know there are many places to visit and explore in the area, and of course there's always that kicking back in the lounge chair thing (sign me up). And oh that's right: We're on the beach!!
What do you think of doing the usual meet-and-greet rendezvous with our own meals at a central fire pit Fri eve., and a pot luck ("whatever" dish) on Sat.?
I loved your idea at our last rally for bringing along camping "white elephants" that you no longer want or need. We can set up a table for display?
OK. Bowing out here for the planning crew to take over.
Happy trails!

Oh... *insert appropriate expletive here* !

I miss my Silver Sisters.

It is not a good weekend for me but let me see what I can do.

You know I wouldn't want to miss a bike parade or any of those martinis.
(I have perfected a new recipe or two in the Bam Lounge myself...do stop by!)
Twist my arm and I could even possibly come up with a costume or two.
I know... surprising isn't it?

And Meredith sign me up for design #2. I'll take a T-shirt even if I have to wear
it parading around by myself in my own driveway. Love it!

I'm working on it. More soon.

Cheerios!

Pajama Martini Bike Ride

Ladies you are speaking my language! Have my flamigo/Airstream jammies, my pink breast cancer bike and martini makings ready to roll. Will pick up some olives while in Santa Barbara, don't dare run out.
I'm in for happy hour pot luck on the beach or by the fire, too much fun.
Maybe pick up some crab, shrimp, potatoes & corn on cob, do a proper beach broil.

Put me down for a shirt! Love the designs.

Silver Sister T-Shirts (and other stuff)

Hello Friends,

I put the logo shirts on CafePress, so if anyone wants one, just log onto http://www.cafepress.com/SilverSafari to purchase.

There are several t-shirt styles to choose from, some with logo on both front and back, some with just a back logo, and some with just a front logo. If you don't see the one you want in my SilverSafari CafePress shop, just give me a holler and I'll add it for you.

Hi Meredith. Are the designs embroidered (sp) ? Or they screen printed? I really like the second design. But both are good. You are very talented.

Hi Martha,

Thank you for the compliment! I'm a bit of a hack, but I like futzing around to see if I can make things happen. The designs are not embroidered on the shirts, just printed.

Can't wait to meet you in a few weeks!
