I'm bringing my bike...

...but I woudn't survive a 20 mile bike ride, especially if I'm drinking Virginia's killer martinis - Ack! I just like to tootle along when I'm on my bike, stopping here and there to smell the roses .

Is Malia the daughter you're talking about? She's a crazy one, that girl...

Paula, I checked out Uwe's blog and can't believe your Suite Spot 2! It's going to be so fabulous, and we'll look forward to seeing it at a future rally. Seems like that vision you had a few years back is finally coming to fruition. So much for the rest stop mishaps...
Loving the rain, but hope it clears for our meeting up. Had the Amgen Tour boys landing in town yesterday and oh my. Lance and lotsa lycra.
As ever--and not really a cougar,
Thanks Janet for the well wishes. I will miss all of you too. Have a fabulous rally...I know it will be.

You can purchase a Silver Sisters t-shirt on CafePress at Silver Safari Designs.

We'll be sure to toast to you, and all the Silver Sisters we will miss, at the rally next month.

Cheers!
Hi Meredith,

That would be a great idea...Mom's n' Kid's rally. But, for now i'm looking forward to seeing all the photos and hearing about all the fun you ladies will have had. Thanks for the t-shirt website. Have a great one!

I have to agree with Meredith on the bike ride, toodle at a leisurely speed, stopping for goodies along the way. 20 miles would kill this girl or at the very least make me very thirsty for martinis, I would have to stop for one every 5 miles....
Keep testing those recipes!

Silver Sisters, I regret to say my safari will not be finished for this rally and I will not be able to make it but maybe, I can drop in for a visit on Friday or Saturaday, in the evening as that is when the most fun will be going on, I guess.
I will be cancelling my reservation on Monday. so if any of you want it, I will just let them know who will be taking it. Please email me and let me know if you want it. I will probably need you name and the size of the Airstream you have. The first to let me know will be the lucky one. Thanks.

Back up for grabs.

Just wanted to let you know that my space is up for grabs. This place has a strange way of doing things, as I do not know what space it is but they told me that if you call ASAP they will give you my space that is within the spaces occupied by the Silver Sisters.
Your Trailer must be 24' or less as this is the size space that will accomodate one that is that size or less.
"I'm out and your in" if you call before they give it to anyone else. See ya! Whew!!!

Hi Martha,
Oops, I thought we had till Monday--and I'm afraid too many of us were off-line last night and haven't had a chance to check the thread this AM. I sent you a PM a few minutes ago, but I see I'm too late! So I'll call right now and try to get Luminati moved into your site.
Thanks, and hope to see you at the next one!

Martha, we're all set. They'd already put us all together! They do charge a full night plus $10 for canceling late, so I can sure understand why you had to get this taken care of.
Sorry you won't be able to join us, and hope all goes well with you trailer repairs.

Hi Martha,

Sorry to hear you won't be joining us, but I'm glad you're getting your trailer spiffied up just in time for the beautiful CA camping season. I hope we have a chance to camp together at another rally soon.

Until then, happy silver trails!

Whew!!!

Well, I am so happy to have Sista Mama, JanetB, working so diligently on my behalf! By the time I called Pismo to snatch that prime real estate, they'd already put me in there. Thanks Janet! And thanks Martha for the heads-up! I'll see you at the next rally.

...and "thanks" Toaster for the initial invite.

...so, what's the food protocol? Do I bring enough food/drink to feed a small orphanage? Preferences?

I'm bringing my bike. No strenuous rides please. Put-put-put...

Bikes

I'm bringing my bike too, though I don't have extras for my two daughters that are coming (ages 18 & 21) - the website for Pismo indicates rentals available - so no-one needs to be left out.

Virginia

PS Your welcome Karin! I'm so glad you and your bottle of Tanqueray are coming!

Yea Karin! Glad you're all in settled into the 'hood. And, Martha, I re-read your last post and realized that you may still be joining us on Saturday, just sans trailer - so glad!

About food, we decided to live dangerously and not start a sign up list. Just bring an appetizer to share for a Friday happy hour (which usually just turns into dinner anyway....), and a potluck dish for a Saturday night.

Regarding drink, Virginia is on martini duty, and I'll be bringing some vodka tonic fixins. Kristiana is our designated driver if anyone needs help walking back to their trailer [wink wink .]

here's been some chatter about bike rides, pajamas parades, Saturday wine tasting, tatoo show and tell, and serious surf watching - so rest up!

Got my T-shirt...love it!

I'll be in Portland, Oregon during the rally but will be sporting my Silver Sisters T-shirt in solidarity.

It's coming up soon...have a great time and tip one for me!

Thinking of you all,
Bam
