How many days do you think it would take to get to Jackson Center?
It can be done in 3 days if you really push, 4 days at a quick pace, and 5 days if you drive the speed limit and don't drive all day. I was considering 4 days as the target. Weather could be a factor. I40 is the shortest route for most of the journey, at least that is the way we went last time.
We could have a Hemi-fest. It would be best to take a cowboy since we have to go through Texas.

Hi, is this going to be a pleasure trip, business trip, or to bring the factory face to face and eye to eye with the dreaded "C" word? Just curious. I'd like to go there sometime, but I don't think it will be this year.
It will be a pleasure trip going and coming, and a "business visit" at Airstream in Jackson Center. I am hoping for a welcome greeting and an positive outcome at JC, the folks there were great the first time we went in 2006.

i normally leave at about 9am from simi valley, and pull into williams, az at about 6pm (you loose an hour at the border).
after checking in and hooking up at the RV Ranch, i goto my favorite cowboy bar, have a steak and three beers at the bar, and go back to the trailer and crash.
the drive from willimas to deadhorse is about an hour.
while i require gas, diesel is not a problem at all.
Sounds like 10 hours portal to Portal. I drive slower than you.
Now I guess I need Time to Chime...in about the fuel.
thers's so many RV's in az, and that part of calif., that diesel isn't a problem. the stations are wide, long and often w/ seperate islands for diesel only.
have you considered a Dodge Power Wagon w/ a Hemi?
Diesel is no problem in AZ along I40 or AZ 17. I have gone from HB to Sedona (Sedona is close to Deadhorse/Cottonwood) at least 10 times and made it in a day no problem, and you know that I drive much slower than the cowboy and bam. Unless you leave real early, your best bet is a stop in Williams like kevbo, that way you won't be getting to Deadhorse late at night and tired.
The PW is still winning my heart, not the grunt of a diesel, but for a guy like you who likes to go where no one else goes...I will be leading the pack into the wild. There are still those big a** Ford wheels and tires in my garage.
