I'll have a nice bottle of champagne ready for your return at BC.
In the meantime, we'll keep Deb company.

Note to self: prepare for bail, ready for media shot, bring grandmother's pearl just in case...pleating ignorance ...

Too much tequila can lead you down the wrong path...

It is still very windy here...strange to watch the waves blowing backwards...with muddy churning surf and lots of kelp and debris washed ashore. (I do like walking on the kelp pods though...it's sort of like popping bubble wrap) Lots of sand blowing and few people on the beach.
The smoke has lessened a bit since the Santa Ynez valley fire is under control. And it's still unseasonably hot...80's at 9am. 80's are high temps here even during the hottest season.
What's the report from the rest of the family?
Hoping all is well,
Bam & Co.
Wind has started to pick up again here in Huntington Beach. Smoke has somewhat cleared out, yet still can smell the fire.
Most of the hotel rooms here and south of here are full, mainly from evacuees from Irvine and even North San Diego.
John's brother and his wife are staying with us, since they were evacueed from their home in Poway area since yesterday. Luckily, the homestead still stands but the fire is still pushing close. They do know a couple of people who lost their home yesterday at Rancho Bernardo. It's just difficult to imagine the situation some of these people are in.
Ron(str8) be safe in the field.
Goin' & Uwe, hope you are alright there. Let us know if we can help.
Good luck everyone!
