Just sayin'...
And for all you flamingo fans...there were thousands.
But darn...none of them wanted to get in my suitcase.
I promise only a few of my 1000 or more photos will grace this thread.
Is there a summer rally planned for this year?????????
Where and when is it?
I know, its all booked up already. Right?????????????
Not this year. No summer rally planned yet. Many of our usual suspects have different plans for long trips going different places, hence not able to get a date and place for a summer rally.
Our next one thus far is the Fall Rally @ Kernville.

in torrey pines........what a tournament. Tiger tied Rocco on the 18th on Sunday and forced an 18 hole playoff ( on Monday) and then did the same on Monday...tied Rocco on 18. It went to sudden death and Rocco lost on the next hole. Tiger is awesome but Rocco is SUCH a class act....he is so genuine, what a great guy.......he did not fold under the pressure of playing with Tiger, I was really hoping he would win. Well now I am home for the first time in 16 days( to 3 clogged sinks thanks to a mistake by our housesitter!).....this retirement schedule is exhausting. Debbie

We were watching the US Open all weekend trying to find you two in the crowd, though with no luck. It must be awesome being there in person.
I am with you also about Rocco, John and I also hoped he would win. Not that we don't like Tiger, we feel the same as you. Besides, Tiger already won two US Open and too many millions of dollars to even notice the difference. On the other, it will make a difference in Rocco's life and he deserves it. He sure has plenty of fans cheering for him.
Sorry to hear about the clogged sinks.
Who knows that retirement is so tough and exhausting?! Boo Hoo...

Hi str8's.
Retirement is awfully hectic isn't it?
Aren't you leaving for another trip soon?
I hope you don't have to go back to work so you can relax.
I was rooting for Rocco too.
Tiger's had his share already and he's not a very good sport when he's losing.
I looked for you in the crowd but I wasn't sure which one was you...

Isn't that Ron on the left near the trees? The one holding the dumbbell.
A possible Spon for those interested in fun and a little work....
The 4th of July is a very popular time for city folks to visit the outdoors. Many folks come to visit the forests, but some leave much of their garbage behind.
This 4th of July weekend, we're going to distribute trash bags to campers and day visitors along the San Gabriel River Valley (Highway 39). The full details are in the attachment. That's the work part.
Now for the fun part. Crystal Lake is a pristine area above the San Grabriel River Valley that has been closed by the USFS for several years. They will open the area for boondock and tent camping for those helping out. The area is absolutely gorgeous...Aside from the name sounding like, and the area looking like something out of "Friday the 13th", it's an area to die for!
I'm expecting to hear from the USFS soon as to the number of RV's that we can bring into the area. If you are interested let me know. No hockey masks allowed.

I really think that Ron is the one in the middle of the road, the little one, no pun intended, waiting for a train. Watch out it doesn't hit you Ron!!!!!!

That's a great idea Mr. Can.
I'm always picking up trash that other people leave behind.
I was at a rustic campground not too long ago where some pinheads
had toilet papered the trees!
Unfortunately I'm booked for the 4th this year.
But I'll fill up a trash bag in your honor.
