Nope, On Sat I had the new shoes put on and fled to our little shack in the desert sans trailer and Mrs. Goin.
The weather was perfect.
The brakes are happening in a fortnight.

Plan is in effect on schedule and on track.
Reread the 2nd and 3rd para of post 1936.
Just so you know it's been done before... The next time you see Mrs. Goin at a rally. Ask her about her last ride in the trailer under tow.
She was in the smallest room in an Airstream as we traveled through a truck stop at 1:00am. Yep, our marriage is an adventure for everyone involved.

More of a convergence...
Fri. June 13th through Sun June 15th. Or longer if you want.
El Mirage Dry Lake Bed. Just NW of the 138 and 395 junction. (a few miles from Victorville.) and right off I 15.
It is total boondocking enviroment but you will be five miles from town.
We'll be camping on the edge of the dry lake so if there is any speed trials, photo shoots, airplanes or ultralites landing etc. we'll have a front row seat.
There is no speed limit on the lake so you can have Moho drag races if you want.
The main rules to obey there are.
No explosives/fireworks.
No shooting of guns
No glass bottles outside of camp.
Everyone is invited to come on out and play.
I'll have a genny to recharge your batteries if you need it.

Thanks for thinking of us. We will be at Torrey Pines that entire week for the US Open Golf Tournament. Go Tiger! Ron

Safari Rick, I would say for you to take the I-5 to the I-99. Take the I-99 to Fresno and then take the I-41 straight into Yosemite.
Have a nice trip.

OK, I read it wrong. You did say a fortnight. The smallest room you say, poor lady, thru a truck stop you say. Not a pleasant ride. Did she have waders on?

You don't know Mrs. Goin. She was fine with it and had a good laugh.
P.S. She said the ride was smooth but the trailer makes a lot of strange noises under tow.

Awww shucks.
I will just be returning to civilization on the 13th
so I can't get away again that fast.
Somebody think of something for July (except the 4th) and I'm in.
*looking longingly out the window at BamCamp sitting in the driveway*

Come out on Sat. Explain that if the tires don't roll monthly they'll explode.
