The 2nd or 3rd weekend in June we'll be heading to El Mirage Dry Lake for the weekend.
El Mirage Dry Lake is used for speed trials, commercials, striaght track racing and movies. It also legal there to land planes and ultra lights on the lake bed and many people do.
Until Oct 1 2008 camping is free.
You can camp on the lake bed within 100 feet of the edge (shore) or just about anywhere else out in the bush.
Everyone is invited to join in and if you have a genny bring it to power your A/C.

Thanks Paula & all.
I'll be in Tanzania, Zambia, Botswana, and South Africa.
And there probably isn't any WiFi out in the bush.
So I'm thinking of NOT taking my computer.
*gasp!*
But I will surely put you to sleep with a few photos upon my return.
Only a few, I promise.
