CA Streamers Rally Planning and General Off Topic Yak Thread
As our dear friend DG once said..."One Rally, One Thread"...however there are so many rallies and so many threads it is now time for one thread for planning new rallies, throwing out ideas for locations and beverages, general mayhem and borderline inappropriate comments.
This is it.
Possible topics may include:
1. Just what are we going to do in November and December?
2. Which KOA's do not suck. And what about the trains?
3. Why does GoinCamping know so much about the Honolulu club?
4. What does Mrs. Str8 really see on her early morning dog walks?
5. Where does Wandering Wanda go?
6. What is the value of 5x starch when camping?
7. Can we boondock somewhere besides the desert?
8. Who put the ram in the ram-a-lama-ding-dong?
All these and many other socially relevant topics are open for discussion.
These are all questions that have puzzled mankind since the beginning of time. Personally, having been "off the sauce" for only 36 hours, I don't feel prepared to give any firm answers. But I'm placing them on the front burner. R

my girls just like me
she likes to visit the desert
with it's hot white sand
The jukebox plays on
Drink by drink
The words of every sad song
Seem to say what I think
This hurt inside of me
Aint never gonna end
I should've been a Cowboy
I should've learned to rope and ride
Wearing my six-shooter riding my pony on a cattle drive
Stealing the young girl's hearts
Just like Gene and Roy
Singing those campfire songs
I should've been a cowboy
DIRECTIONS: From Wrightwood, CA, take State Rt.2 west 2.4 miles to Table Mountain Campground sign. Turn right at sign onto Table Mountain Rd and go 1 mile to another campground sign. Turn left into campground.
GENERAL COMMENTS: The elevation is 7,500 ft. The campground has eight loops and a spur (Knoll) - Zuni, Apache, Cherokee, Mohave, Pima, Osage Way, Broken Blade, and Twisted Arrow. It meanders around the mountaintop through a stand of large, mature Ponderosa pine. Many of the camp sites have magnificent views of the surrounding mountains or the Mojave Desert. Some sites have bear proof food containers. Big, spacious, widely separated camp sites, provide ample privacy. The Knoll (sites 12 - 15) are on a dead end with no turn-around - only tents are recommended. Pima, Osage Way, and Mohave Rim Loops have the campground's shortest parking aprons and tight, winding interior roads. The lodge at adjacent Ski Sunrise offers a cooks night out, public phone, 27-hole "Disk Golf," and occasional entertainment. This is bear country; practice safe food storage techniques. Note: To use a armhole in campground during "fire season," you will need a California Campfire Permit available at the Ranger District Office.

I hate to digress but...
I think we're all goin boondockin in March in the Panamints.
The day after Christmas the Goin's are goin to Monument Valley to see the snow capped Mesa's. Buy some schlock at the trading post and having learned how from you know who. We're gonna do some grave looting. Yes, Kev I know we have to give you a %.
After that we'll meander through AZ. via the backroads to the FCU New Years Eve party at Mt. Picachu.
If this Caravan appeals to you then come on along.
P.S. I saw Elvis driving a Moho on Hwy 62 several years ago. Of course I was on my way back from the Honolulu Club...
