Watch the parking meters there...Back in the '80s we went to the coliseum to watch a supercross race. We parked, looked at the sign near our car to make sure we were parked legally - saw no problems. We may have been in a hurry.
Long story short: Got towed, us and about 30 others who also were towed walked about 3 or 4 miles through Watts at 0145 hours, to the LA City impound yard to pay the bail. Between the 4 of us we came up with the $180 some-odd dollars, cash. They would not take cards or checks. I tell you, there were some hot people there.
Read the sign VERY carefully....
Dave

Thanks for the warning country cousin, but I was born and raised in LA. I speak fluent parking sign. It's a survival thing. Ron

Urban cowboy.

Although I did see a photo or 2 of you in a sombrero. And some wild colored pajamas.
Dave

On edit - ignore the above comments, I've become something of a troublemaker....

Oh boy. Let's not start that one again. I can't take the abuse.

The Coliseum brings back memories for many of us "LAcentric" types. Count the times in on a baseball event at the oval.

Well Ron my memories are not "as seasoned" as yours. However I did watch the Rams with Roman Gabriel, Rosie Grear and Deacon Jones there.

And then there were the 1984 Olympics with Rafer Johnson running up the long stairway to light the Torch I kinda remember Bruce Springsteen one chilly night, or was it hot, or was that my date.......it will come back if I increase my dose of Aricept.

Ron..tells us about the games in '59.

"Seasoned" is such a nice way of putting it. You're such a nice young man, Milo. I remember the '59 Series because we were all baseball crazy and the Dodgers had only been here for a couple of years. Also, my dad took me out of school that day (second grade). I was the luckiest kid in the school. Of course, the Dodgers beat the White Sox that year and that made it perfect. Ron

Yikes Rick.

We'll have to give you a hand with the karaoke duties.
