Just wanted to check in with you guys. When I joined the Forum I chose the name "lovemy55" after my '55 Chevy. Funny thing is, I just sold the '55 so our Sovereign could live inside the garage. Our old trailer has been such a great way to spend time with the family. We still have two other classic cars - I'll spend time with them when our daughter is grown up. Right now, this camping thing is just too cool!
Anyway, with the help of Janet, I changed my name from "lovemy55" to "84Sovereign".
We got to meet a few of you fine folks at Vail Lake but couldn't camp because our TT wasn't roadworty. Well, now we are...
I'm going to try to get to Quartzsite to boondock
but I have the Lake Casitas Rally the week before
(and that "other life responsibility thing" in between)
so I am currently negotiating for an extended hall pass...
How long is the drive say, from the Goins territory?

Bam,
I'd guesstimate it at about 5 to 6 hours. Quartzeside is probably 5 miles from the Ca/Az border.
My AS dealer fixed both leaks for me and when I asked about the "corrosion"
(or whatever we are calling that bubbling around the seams and rivets)
they said they've had that problem many times and Airstream is only willing to deal with the "removable" parts.
They have ordered new light housing, door hinges etc. for me to be installed ASAP.
Apparently the word on the street is that if your seams are beginning to go, you're up that famous creek.
