Hi all: Put us down for hot crockpot chili.
For those of you coming into Kernville from So. Cal. is route 5 the preferred road, or the other highwa through Lancaster? Route 5 is about 3 hours and 30 minutes, and the Lancaster route is almost 4 hours, probably more with the trailor.
We will see you all soon.

Hello Robert and Sherry! I was checking on google maps and it looks like coming up from the south, the I5, CA99 route and it will be 20 or so miles shorter. That route takes you through The Canyon, which is pretty tight and slow going for about 17 miles. We take that route because it is a lot shorter for us.
Coming up from the south, you can also go the Lancaster route and take CA14, which will have a few twists and turns but easier going over all.
Since it's close milage wise for you, I would suggest the Lancaster, CA14 route. Then you can take the canyon route on the way out and compare.

So we made a run up to Kernville today and checked in with Rivernook. They still have:
5 premium pull sites available- #443 thru #448.
6 sites that back up to the creek- #47 thru #53.
And site #421 is available which is directly across from where the Meet and Greet Friday, and also the Potluck on Saturday will be held.
So if you're thinking of joining us for the fun, it's not too late

Can't wait!

Lianne,
If you're on 99, look to the West just after your cross Olive Ave. You'll see our AS parked with a bunch of big rigs!
Drive safely and I hope you all have a great time at Jackson ranch!

John is bringing home the AS tonight.
I am probably the most ridiculous person I know. I have plans to sew up new curtains AND reseal the outside of the trailer BEFORE the rally.
I work part-time away from home and part-time at home, with my 4 year-old under foot. I'm not sure how we are going to do all this but should I succeed, everyone at the rally may refer to me as 'Project Slayer'.
Oh crap, I just realized we only have 7 days.....got to go!

Hi all,
I just called Rivernook to confirm our reservation. I was unaware that the sites on the creek are only partial hook-up with no sewer. THere is a dump site. I switched to a site with full hook ups. We'll be in #442
If anyone is looking for a full hook up site, there are some available.
Pull thru sites # 443-445, 449, 451 are available. Also, 200-214 are available but are a bit of a tight fit from what Damien at Rivernook told me.

My confirmation form says that check-in time is 2:00 but that assigned sites may be occupied after 12:00. If you want early check-in, they will charge you for the previous day.
