The potluck is a free for all.
Bring whatever you like.
And do bring your chair/lounge to sit in at the potluck (pimped or plain )

Great plan Tom.
We're never sure what to do with the stragglers after the potluck.
The above should prove to be most helpful.

There is a rumor that some real "lounge lizards" (both male and female)
may show up on Saturday to assist Karaoke Rick in his crooning.
Let's just say "hubba hubba" and grab a martini.
And due to the closeness of Halloween,
may I suggest that anyone who wishes to arrive in a costume of any kind,
please do so.
Nothing like some real surprises to spice up the Saturday potluck.
We'll hope for some big "yikes!" in a good way of course.

information
For those of you who have not been to Rivernook, they do NOT have tables at their sites so if you have a table bring it, we will need it for the pot luck. Also there is not a lot of lighting.....so if you have lanterns ( or Klieg lights) please bring them as well.
The rally is pretty much unscripted......sometimes Friday night people bring munchies and wine to a central location and visit whilst harassing the newest arrivals. Sometimes there is a breakfast potluck (chime in Paula!).
Saturday, probably around 4pm, bring your pimped lounge chairs, in your lounge lizard ensemble to a location to be determined. Appetizers are welcomed. The potluck will follow and then Safari Rick will set up his Karaoke equipment. Some folks will consume Patron and then take to the mic. Other folks will move further away from the mic. If you have a kaazoo bring it, Silverbear will probably conduct his kaazooing friends.
The margy ball will come out of mothballs and be available for imbibers.
oh yeah, some of us may bring fishing poles and hang out with Steve while he catches fish.
See ya in Kernville, Debbie

For the fishermen in the group, do we fly fish or do we drown worms? So Steve give us the 411 on the best way to catch fish.

Hi Paula. No problem on the brunch.
Looking forward to seeing you and Steve again.
It's been a while.
We're keeping this rally loose.
If anyone spontaneously decides to host something, just pass the word.
I'll put a white board on the side of my huge 16 footer (space 452)
for announcements if anyone has any.
Cheers!

I'll bring chocolate chips and Teddy Grahams.
We can make s'mores for the fish.
If they don't go for that, they're crazy.

I camped with a large group the weekend of Sept. 26, 27 and 28 next door at Camp David James. A few fisher persons were fishing and had very good luck. One man caught a 3lb. rainbow with a spinner rod and salmon eggs. Very nice fish. The smaller fish were native ones and the larger are mostly planted. Any way, they are good eating. See you all soon.

I think we're arriving Thursday (next week). We're driving there from Orange County with a stop in Grants Pass. It's just north of everywhere. This trip starts Thursday of this week. Can we make it? We have to stay two days in Oregon. This is something like a scavenger hunt with an Airstream. I drive the geezerly rate of 55.

Bam,
I'm in for those toasty marshmallows too!!!..maybe 'power' bait or pautzky balls will work on those grahams too, if the fish won't bite!!!
Hi Sixty3TW4US-
Steve wants to let you know as clear/mysterious as he can be: the 411: bring your flyrods and experiment w/your lures/worms of your desire!!!..(in other words, he uses whatever will catch the little or big critters!)..we just got back from Graegle up in the Plumas Nat'l Forest and fished Lake Davis and Frenchman Lake..we both hooked on to some nice rainbows..but the two days on Lake Davis turned out kind of windy..white caps, rolling waves on a lake, no less!!..everyone headed in by noon..Steve wanted to stay out all day, I said NO way!!!..he says, ok, next time he'll bring a Bigger Boat!!!

Attention Happy Campers:
Due to the size of this illustrious and unbearably fun group
the back chatter consensus is that there won't be any "formal" contests.
(The "others" made me make this announcement)
Pimp your lounge chair (I know I will ) and/or yourself if you wish
(any and all costuming is always welcomed and appreciated).
Bring it and yourself to the potluck on Saturday night and
everyone will admire your talent and beauty.
The Saturday night potluck and following Karaoke crooning event
are the only "officially" scheduled activities. But that is certainly not all
that will be happening at the infamous Fall Fiesta.
Fisherpersons from everywhere will be baiting hooks willy nilly and catching whoppers,
field trips to local shops, restaurants, and saloons will be happening daily,
crazy hiking and biking and absolutely wild lounge chair napping will be ongoing.
Not to mention the constant, ahem, occasional cocktailing and/or wine tasting.
Woo AND hoo! See you soon...
