Egads happy campers, due to being busy with other rallies and life in general,
apparently I am tardy in starting our annual planning and yak thread for our fall rally in Kernville, CA.

It has been on the rally calendar for a while now so hopefully you have made plans to attend.
Do sign up if you will be joining in the fun.

As usual (our 5th year in a row!) we will be camping at:

The date is the weekend of October 28-30.
Come early and stay late!
Everyone is welcome...kids, pets, even those odd relatives.

My wife and I are going to try and make this our first rally. We have a 2 week trip planned for early October from So. Cal to Vancouver Washington. That will be our longest trip since we got our AS a few months ago and our last trip until the Christmas holliday. But when I saw BamCampers posting we thought this would be a great way to end the month and meet other 'streamers. Now I just have to figure out my work schedule... tell them I will be out of town... again... and make it happen. I just hate it when work gets in the way of 'streamin....

Girl, it's on like Donkey Kong!

We booked at the beginning of the year, but the best they could do for us was up at the front of the park in space #215 by the office. And we all know that it's no fun there

So I will be checking in with the park to see about anything opening up between now and then that's closer to party central.

Will update you if we are able to relocate.

Woo and hoo Lianne!

Any site is only a short stroll from any other.
And it's a pretty park with streams and a river to walk by.

Kim was mentioning that the rally weekend may be sold out. (?!)
Strange. It's such a big campground and that's never happened before.

I'll call them later today for an update.

As this is our first rally and we are still AS rookies, so... is there anything we need to know and/or do to join in on the fun? I just called and left a message at the campground about getting a site for the rally, I should hear back from them soon. Well, they have my name and phone number and that we are part of the rally, so hopefully we will get a spot.

Nope. Nothing special to do and nothing to join.
It's a very casual and friendly group.

We have a potluck on Saturday night so you can bring
whatever you'd like. No lists.

Hope you can get a spot.
This is the first year we've had an issue with that. (?)

I've called a couple times with no answer but I'll try again.

Anyone have any updated info about Rivernook?

I also left a message today, and have not heard back. That's not unusual for that campground though.

We were up there in February and checked with Brandon in the office, he said that you all had such a good time last year that most of you booked again for this year. But that campground has several hundred spots so there must be something else going on.

I will try again tomorrow.

Well, we still don't know if we have a reservation or not

. Although their phone message says "... we will get right back to you..." we still have not received a call back from the campground. Hopefully we will hear back soon so I can coordinate time off from work and make the trip.

Has anyone received a call back from Rivernook CG? I call but they don't call back. Really want to come to the rally, hope to hear from them soon!

Our plan is to drive up there this Sunday. We have found in the past that showing up in person works best. We will check the availability of spots and post results.

If you PM your phone number to me I will be happy to get back with you, or better yet, have them call you while we're there.

It would be great to have you at the rally! It is a really neat campground once you get in ( ;

I received a call from Damion at Rivernook today and we are in! We will be in site 422. While we are not in one of the spots on BamCampers list, we hope it will be close to the fun. We will arrive on Friday and leave on Monday. Looking forward to meeting everyone at our first rally.

I got my call back from Damion today. There are now six sites left for that weekend. All are in the 200s near the office. We reserved 207. Not the best but we're in. Yay! Can't wait to see everyone! We'll be in our aluminum tent, happy as can be. Fingers and eyeballs are reported to be on the menu again this year!

I asked Damion what the big draw for that weekend was, and he said it was the Airstream rally. Say What??

There must be alot more Airstreamers going to this rally than I thought, that park is huge!

I'm glad that we are finally getting calls back. I missed my call from them this morning

So now I'm back to the waiting game. But at least I'm booked already.

All the spots are good. I just happened to know those numbers.
It is a nice campground despite the difficulty in getting a call back.

I call almost every week, no spots open except for 1 or 2 on the main entrance road across from office. Keep hoping for an opening or a drop out in our group... please let me know if you hear of one. WE WANT TO BE THERE.... COME ON, THE KERN WITHOUT THE CANNON'S. Who would give Ron and BAM any competition!!!

I spoke with Damian again yesterday, they are still full. We have a space up by the office, and are happy to have a spot reserved. But we would happily more into a spot closer to party central if it opens up. I just can't imagine that the park is full, but we'll see. Looking forward to seeing everyone!

It really is strange that the park seems to be sold out.
That has never happened before.
I wonder if part of it is under construction or something.
Kim, grab a spot and come to the rally!
At least you'll have something and maybe you can
move closer when you get there.
