Don't know if anyone has seen this, but it's explaining the changes to the ticket process, but not the dates.

We got our tickets to BEquinox! Good start to the the year. Hoping to get to Apogaea again this year before the Big Burn as well. Theme camp pre-burn work starts on Mar 26. Lots of stuff to get ready before leaving. Hope to meet some of you there.

We're newbies to Airstream and contemplating BM this year! We hope we can get tickets and then stay tuned to this forum for all advice. Thank you for sharing, everyone!

Just got great news. We will be in the directed ticket sale and are guaranteed tickets and vehicle pass. Plans are being made and we can't wait for our August 20 departure date. Hope to see all of you there!

Worried about tickets

My sister says if we don’t get tickets, it was meant to be, I say be pro-active, is there anything we can do to increase our odds? We’re old we could croak waiting for tickets😵 Second question if we luck into tickets can we come early and help set things up? We’re old but foot loose and spry🤠

I found the burner community near me and became part of a camp. Then made myself useful and by the second year, I was on the list for tickets. Not to late to find a camp now.

Hello everyone, we just made the leap and got an Airstream last spring, (2018 22 Sport) and had a great summer... of course all we want to talk about is where to go in 2019... so many places to see... We have several dream trips and are starting fill in our summer calendar.. we are very excited at the opportunity to go to Burning Man 2019.. We talked about it for years, and finally in 2019 we are going to try to get tickets... and to be in an Airstream Camp?? It just does not get any better than that. We are a friendly easy going Canadian couple out there to explore and enjoy life the best we can.
We are happy to have found this forum and post... we would very much like to join your Airstream family. We look forward to the possibility of meeting everyone and being active participants in the camp.

BRING ON THE DUST!!

Tickets to BM are a very scarce commodity. There are about 70,000 tickets with about 800,000 to 1 million people looking for tickets. It's crazy.

I have been attending for many years (14). Since 2011 I have not been able to buy a ticket through the Main Sale. I get my ticket and vehicle pass from different sources.

1. Ask as many friends and family that are willing to try to buy tickets with the promise that I will buy the tickets from them. There is never a problem finding buyers for any extra tickets I end up with. I only buy and sell at FACE VALUE.

2. I work with a theme camp and put in lots of hours doing whatever the theme camp needs done. In return the camp leader may put me down for a Directed Group Sale ticket. It's not free, but does guarantee me a ticket in the DGS sale.

3. Spread out my Burner Network. I participate in my local (Seattle) Burner community. I attend Burner-sponsored events, Regional campouts (like BM, but on a local, smaller scale). I've made many friends over the years and like I said above, ask them to try to buy an extra ticket or two.

4. If you get a ticket and go to your first Burn, sign up to do many hours of volunteer work for the BM Organization on site. Whatever that department's incentive is, you might qualify for a ticket the following year...either set aside for purchase or actually gifted. Friends of mine put in 24-hours volunteering on the Greeter staff...they get a gifted ticket for the following year.

5. Keep a positive attitude. Put it out there. These days a ticket may fall into your lap, but it takes a lot of work and intention for that to happen.

Good Luck!
