Hello all,
I will be cramping with The Burning Band somewhere in Snowflake Village.
https://www.facebook.com/TheBurningBand
I enjoy following this forum. It will be my fourth year at BM. I have an 89, 32-ft Squarestream.
I retired last year, and I like the Northern Nevada area so much that I am looking to buy a home there.

Welllll...the last couple of years have been somewhat unusually undusty.
But there can be (and often are) quite intense white out dust storms. Having been caught in a few, I would not leave home without my goggles on board.
And there are also powerful rain storms at times. Last year's opening day was that famous rain/mud incident that delayed arrivals due to road closures.
So it doesn't hurt to be prepared for unexpected weather. In addition to the usual heat, it also gets downright cold. Layer up and carry on.

Burning Man 2015! Planning thread...
Well here is hoping for tickets. Logged on to website and was in line 36 seconds after 3:00 ET /noon PST. My next move is in more than an hour. Doubt I will get tickets which is a bummer. My hope springs eternal at least for the next hour.

Burning Man 2015! Planning thread...
I have to plan pretty far out given the drive from Ohio and the time of the event. So the Ticket exchange is a bit of a crapshoot. Still more than an hour and still hoping.
There will likely also be an issue with vehicle passed as there are only 12,000 available
But I'm still hoping.

I'm with you. Logged in literally seconds after noon and was in line shortly after that. No tickets for me either. Bummer.
I can only hope to have a little bit better luck with tickets for the Dead in Chicago. Mailed my order in from the post office on the appointed day and asked for a hand cancellation so I could confirm the date showed clearly. My odds of getting tickets may be only slightly better.

we missed out as well. logged in at 12:00:01. waited and watched as the time wait went from over an hour down to 30 something and then back up to over an hour. then finally a yellow bar came across the page saying it was sold out. 90 minutes.

Aw that just sucks. As Barbie said, there may be other options. Sometimes people have extra tickets available, especially as the event gets closer and plans change. I do have my ticket but sorry, just the one and no extras this time. Good luck!

Dang!
Bob and I got tickets but our 4 teammates did not.
If anyone hears of any tickets coming up for sale please please let me know. The 4 people that are helping us have committed to financial support and work parties to make our Arboreality come true - and they will make great Burngins!!.
We are still going ahead with plans and will need help from all the Airstreamers present for perimeter control, construction and clean up. Its not as onerous as it sounds - this is a small project :-)
As soon as we have cleared it with Artery I will enquire about early access for those that can help with the build.
Stay in touch!!
Thanks
Michel

The Application is On
Hey Kids, what time is it? It's Burning Man theme camp application time! The applications are open, and the first question is a current camp plan. Ha ha ho ho hee. with an accurate number of camp mates, hee he he haw ho. . Then a description of our camp's "interactivity", and I'll need a LNT lead contact. Bam and Ron have worked extra over time on this for years now.
Plan on!

Hi Perry,
To assist in the camp promo you can certainly insert that the Camp is building and burning Arboreality; that Dr Foote and Mr Towes' Foot Massage clinic will be operational and that there will be laser lighting on our campsite each night. ( Robert and I are heading all this) We also intend to have a banner for Bams Bar and contribute to it as well.
Hope this helps!

Thanks so much! This sounds great! We do have a banner that says Airstreameri, which we'll probably hang on the "community carport". Right now I haven't heard that any of our Best Playa Post Cards people have managed to acquire a ticket yet.

Just curious if the paperwork for the Airstreameri camp got submitted. This thread has been quieter than usual lately.
The deadline for placed camp applications is tomorrow at noon. Has anyone heard anything lately from NevadaGeo?
